My problem with this is that the cut scenes of the town do not exactly make it look like Maggie lives in the big city. In small towns you at least know of someone even if you do not know them.

When they were walking out to the barn to kill the kid my wife said, " Hey look, that black guy is still on the show...did you know he was still on the show?"
That was pretty much my reaction, too. They're just keeping him around for when Merle comes back.

I find it really odd that he's the only black man that survived. They are in the south, right?
T-Dawg is needed for racial diversity.
Even with Michonne and Glenn? If so I am ok with a T-Dog for Shane as long as they make T-Dog a compelling important character. Make up for the loss of Shane.
I really see Rick and Shane as two sides of the same coin.
That character doesn't even exist yet in the show. Glenn is Asian. I'm sure they have him on the show for a reason and he will play a more important role later on. That, or he is just there for a really awesome death scene.
I thought your response was directed at the group I mentioned in which she would be a part. I know Glenn is Asian. That adds to the diversity.
I'd like the T-Dog character if they actually did something with it.

Speaking of T-Dog I thought when he cut his arm open it would've infected him obviously I was wrong but before that any scene/episode he's had of consequence that I can remember is back in the first few episodes tied to Daryl's(?) brother.
Pretty much. He don't even remember the last time he said more than a couple of lines in an episode.
