What's new

The Walking Dead

I try not to get into "what if's" especially in shows like this. I mean I still try to be attentive and notice things (so I'm just not a brain dead zombie watching a zombie show) but it can take away from the show to much.

I mean heck zombies hordes are mindless sheep you just need sound or little blood or whatever bait to get them started in a direction. I could easily see cliffs and other natural terrain features that they could use to create redirects and slow bottle necks and off the cliff or into whatever you setup they go. Anyway that's my point about what if's.

When I am watching the show I just enjoy it and do not try to think my way thru it. As for all these "what if" comments it is just what I would try and do if I was in that world.

when i'mw atching the show i turn of my brain sort of. but when i read comics after wards i brainstorm with myself and or a friend about the what ifs.

we had a discussion about burning zombies. that it wouldnt be a good soultion because zombeis on fire would run a round before really dying. turning other **** on fire in there wake

I agree with the part about the bad writing. If you have no intent on them grabbing those guns, why even show them? And if there was an AK, I'd still take it. Especially if I had some one in the group like Shane or Rick who had knowledge of weapons.

I understand the writers can't have them fortify the farm because then it wouldn't lead to anything. After all, it is a show. Didn't Rick and Hershell say it was their fault for not doing more? So that sums stuff up.

Overall, I love the show and the characters. I expect the writing to be a lot better this next season.

As for being able to get head shots with a glock (not sure why Dutch mentions a glock in particular) more easily than with an M16 or AK47, I'd have to disagree. On full auto you'll probably lose precision after the first couple shots, but that's what the 3-round burst/semi-auto/full-auto selector switch is for. And taking semi-auto shots from a long gun will always be more accurate at range than with a pistol.

did you ever shoot with a ak47 or m16. and tried precise headshots? headshots are easier with glocks, i'd take an extended glock magazine above a fullasusalt rifle vs zombies anyday.
then again some fuill assualt rifles could be set to automatich making it easier to shoot. problem with noobs is they woudl put it on full auto and blast bullets everywhere hitting everywhere except the head. making more noise calling more zombies

Yes I have with both. You obviously haven't because you are claiming that it is easier to shoot someone in the head with a handgun compared to an assault rifle. I suggest you go to a shooting range and try both and then get back to us.

at wat range. most headshots i saw where at close range. 2-5 meters.
i know you can put those automics on semi-auto, or the 3 shot burst. but you gotta remeber in stressfull situation you might get carried away and get panicy. remeber these guys arent really trained. so a handgun would be far better.

You were watching the wrong show then. They were nailing zombies in the head from 25 or more feet at times in a moving car. I understand TV can be unrealistic, but this was Windtalkers bad.

when they where nailing them from 25 feet most where using long weapons(shotguns/riffles, although a shotgun is a long weapon it isnt made for long range shots) but most kills in this show have been close range, and using handguns
