Official Game Thread: "Uh oh, it's Magic" at Jazz...Saturday, 4/21, 8:30pm MT

I think all the 3's they hit put us down in the 1st. We still shot like 55% from the field that quarter. Those aren't all Al's fault. Millsap failed to get a rebound in the 1st also.

Serious question, Cy; did you actually watch the game (I'm serious, did you tune in and out of the game)? Because what I saw was Al's man picking either the ball handler or another person's man. In the pick and roll, the ball handler either shot a wide open three, drove and made a lay-up, or kicked it out for a wide open three because Al was not stopping the ball handler at Al. He also did not slow down guys that were screened off the ball and thus gave them either wide-open shots or wide open drives to the basket.

I think I heard somewhere that the suns big man three point shooter got hurt, I forget his name. Does anyone know if he will play on Tuesday?

OIMO Al is a top 3 Center in the NBA offensively.
Based on what criteria? Again, dude doesn't score all that much, and isn't terribly efficient. Further, he doesn't run the floor at all, and the offense gets fewer easy buckets as a result.

but when all you do is watch the ball.... well... jefferson touches it a lot... n'... his old skool moves...

You're just a hater hater.

Lol.

The thing is, Al does play good defense at times. The contention around here is that he is incapable, too stupid/lazy, won't ever do it. It isn't true. Jefferson plays very good defense just not consistently. When he doesn't he is truly turrible. Al has a really bad habit of not trusting the rotations behind him and is never comfortable out by the 3pt line. He also gets confused. But sometimes you see him doing it all right. It's not like he can't do it, rather that he's never seen the value kind of like assists. In the last 2 games I've seen players cutting while AJ has the ball and he has found them. Point being, this guy is not done getting better.

This is one of the many things overlooked by the coach hunters. Jefferson is vastly superior to the player we traded for. Harris too. Our young players are all developing (even though they have all been shot in the head by Corbin), especially Favors who many will still tell you Corbs is choking to death. Kanter is even showing progress and tonight was a very good game for him.

This team has a bright, bright future. Gluts of talent are not bad things.

"Hater" isn't an insult? If you want to have an intelligent, respectful discussion, maybe you shouldn't open with insult.

How about some intellectual honesty? "Hater" is a generic term that in this case describes all the Jazz fans who dislike Jefferson. It was not me directly calling you a name, unlike yourself who directly went to the f'ing idiot card because you disagree with me about the worth of a basketball player.

It was a hack move by a hack poster, but that tends to be your style on this board so I'm not suprised or offended.

Yes, watched the entire game besides the 1st minute of the 3rd quarter.

I'm sorry WHAT? Did you just say Harris was better than DWill?
