Jazz Locker room Cleanout & Exit Interviews

Listening to Raja Bell on the KFann interview, it sounds like he's saying the right things but the media is just blowing some lines up. I don't think it's as big a deal as it's being made.

Basically, what I'm getting out of it is that Raja asked to be put in a place where he could contribute and if the Jazz wanted to start the youth movement then it's fine with him 100%, but he'd like to play somewhere else.

Not surprising, like people have said, Brian T. Smith is a prick.

I am hoping he is just being a nice guy. Why those two were signed in the first place is still a mystery to me.

Hey, we can't have everything. So far, from all of this, it sounds like we're saying buh-bye to Miles and Bell (buyout, amnesty, or trade I'm assuming), will pick up Carroll's option, and are considering starting Favors next year. All of that is music to my ears.

If we re-sign Howard to a one or two year deal, I can live with that. He had some decent moments this year, should be cheap as hell, and quite frankly, we're mediocre at the 3. If he sucks, okay, I'll be a little annoyed. But at the price tag I foresee, I'm not too worried about it. If we end up starting our big three, then Howard, Carroll and Burks roles become a little more muddled. But I doubt Corbin does that. So Howard makes some sense. And could be a decent asset to trade at the deadline.

I couldn't have said it better myself. Well, actually I could have, but I'm still glad you did.

Forgot to mention Earl said that after Jazz lost game 4 last night Derick Favors walked off the court mad and cursing because they lost.

thats why al should have been suspended for his quitting.
and let favors do his thang.
it would be contagious we might have won a game or 2

We need 3 point shooting badly. He shot 24%. No thank you. I would rather go with someone younger which looks like it might be Carroll so why would we want Howard back?

There is no reason to bring back Raja, CJ or Howard. I liked Howard before he got hurt but when he came back he was awful and selfish. Seven years of CJ is more than I can stand. I was not thrilled with bringing back Raja in the first place. I hope he is gone. He seems to have negative energy.

Agreed and I think 99% of this board agrees. We do need a couple vets on this team but we can find some others that are more helpful.

Well said.

Can't wait to see what KOC has up his sleeve.

PG position is #1 priority.

Why does everyone think he's got something up his sleeve?

Because he has proven to be a pretty crafty and below the radar type of GM. You never know what he is going to do. He is a really good GM, but one of his mistakes this season was not dealing Howard if there was interest from another team. JMO

Yes. Exactly. Everyone thought he had an ace up his sleeve at the deadline. This is cyclical. After training camp it's "oh he'll play his card at the deadline, when we cash in in value." Then it's "well, he will shake things up in the offseason." Then "we'll see what we've got in training camp." Themn we wait for the deadline. Yes, we have made drastic moves recently but barring some huge hostility I see the same thing happening.
