I just started The Wire! I know, I know.
I just finished Sons of Anarchy Season One. That show is very very good.
None of the previews for new shows have gotten me excited at all. I'll give one or two a shot (I always do) but the die-off rate on them is so high it's reasonable to wait and see which ones make it.
as i been saying a couple of years back.
the sons of anarchy thread got laughed off because of bad acting.
Who said it had bad acting? I'd argue that's one of the show's strengths.
Almost done with Season 2. Just watched the episode in which a lot of season-long conflicts are finally unearthed and Opie goes ape-**** on Tig. That was my favorite episode of the season.
The show is really very well layered. Lots of allusions to The Andy Griffith Show, Hamlet, the Sopranos, and a handful of other Shakespeare plays.
It was me who complained about the acting. But I admitted up front I only watched the first episode. That show might have gotten better (and I think acting improves as the show finds its grove) but I'm not into biker culture at all and doubt I would have changed m opinion of the show.
Saw the pilot of The Mindy Project on Hulu. For those who don't know who Vera Mindy Chokalingam (aka Mindy Kaling...Apparently Chokalingam doesn't work for Hollywood, just like Studlendgehawn or Anastassakis (bonus points if you can guess whose names those are), anyways...she plays Kelly Kapoor in The Office. I hate her on the office but found this show pretty good. The pilot had guest spots by Bill Hader and Ed Helms. I just wished she was more attractive, as shallow as that is, I think it would make for a better show.
I actually think she's pretty hot, so I might like this show?
If you think she's hot, wouldn't you watch anyway?
Hmm. Didn't realize The Sopranos was a Shakespeare play. ;-)

I was hoping you were wrong, but that is not the case. I've got 4 episodes left. Has the creator come out with anything saying where he would have taken the show had it not been cancelled?
There were some interviews where he speculated on some various and sundry details, but that's really it. The last episode or two is a real mind ****.
So... I finally had time to watch the first episode of "Coppers". Pretty intriguing stuff. Definitely not going to be a "clean" period study. I hope to watch the second episode sometime this weekend. Anybody else watch it?
