Basically all you need is onions, tomatoes, jalapenos, lime juice, cilantro, and garlic salt.
I agree you need a little sugar. Careful not to much too much, obviously, but it little pulls the flavors together.
Why not use fresh garlic instead of garlic salt?
Tomatoes, onions, fresh garlic, cilantro, freshly squeezed lime juice, jalapenos/habaneros & my secret ingredient. No sugar, no artificial ingredients, no preservatives (other than the lime juice). The preparation is what makes mine very different.
Not a big garlic fan in salsa, too strong.
Thank you #teamsugar
No sugar .. no garlic??
Not sure what you're making.
I drink it.
Life is better when you just admit you are 1/2 a person and can't do certain things well.
Sugar, no way, nasty, but garlic is a must ..... the secret ....... a dash of Orange Juice .....
That's better. I'm not in SLC so I can't go there, but there are a few salsas that I like at some restaurants around here so I maybe I should call them and see if they'll sell me a few gallons worth or something.
Im not a big fan of any salsa that comes in a jar. It generally isnt that great. I guess Pace is ok, but once you get hooked on fresh salsa , it just isnt the same. Some grocery stores will make their own and its pretty good. Smith's use to make the bomb fresh salsa but quit making it. At least the stores I have been to did. The last place I had really good fresh salsa from a store was a place up in Park City. I think its called Fresh Market just off of Park Ave and Homestake dr.
Which restaurants have salsa you like? I think you're in Utah county, right, which is where I am also. The restaurant salsas I've tried around here have generally speaking been disappointing to me.
Local Utah county salsas ???? La Costa in Pleasant Grove isn't bad. Mi Ranchito is tolerable. La Puente in AF is like unbelievable bad yet really addicting, its basically hot tomato paste. Its gross but I cant stop eating it.
That's what I was going to suggest. Refrigerated salsa from a grocery store. I like Harmons' refrigerated salsa.

I was kind of shooting for something a little better than "isn't bad", "tolerable", and "unbelievable bad". ;-)
