Following potential 2013 draftees

Interesting take. In the NBA those jump hooks will be getting blocked or highly altered though. If he doesn't become a better passer it could kill him.

In the low post he'll get blocked more, if NBA bigs are around, but not in the high post. He's bigger than any NBA SG not named Kobe Bryant, if that is the position he ends up playing.

I'm going to watch the UK/Florida game Friday because I really want to see what is up with Poythress and WCS. Poythress lack of production is mind boggling.

*Saturday.

Poythress simply isn't the aggressor. He usually has one good quarter and three that he's passive. Frustrating... and not something that usually fixes itself.

Agree with this as well. Some of the mocks are nuts that have him mid-first. I see Austin going 6/7.

This is Chad Ford. Not saying I agree with it...

Patrick (Dallas)
Should Isaiah Austin stay one more year for Baylor?

Chad Ford (1:10 PM)
I think so. He needs to add strength. Has struggled with his shot and NBA teams don't know who he'll guard at the next level. He's not ready and I don't think he's been looked at as a lottery pick for months. More of a mid to late first round guy now.

Separately, Chad Ford thinks that if Burke had more athleticism, he'd remind people of Chris Paul. Sounds like a conversation we were having. The only concern with Burke is size and jets.

Is Paul really that much more athletic than Burke? I think he's a bit quicker, but I'm not sure their overall athleticism is that different.

I agree with Ford here on Austin .. but I still believe his unique combination of skill set and length will see him get drafted around 6/7 even if it means he's a few years away from being an impact player.

I feel the same way.

I just love when people are concerned about the size of the player with the least amount of size on every team. I hope they continue to be.

My feelings exactly. If teams want to continue to overvalue size at the position it matters the least, then be my guest.

Just because MCW is a 6'6 point guard, people automatically believe he is going to be a monster. I hope they continue to be as well.

I'm a big proponent of guys going back to school who aren't physically ready for the NBA.

Honestly, I'd like to see Ben McLemore go back to school as well. I watch him and, knowing his background, I think he's a little shellshocked by the success he's having. It's Elijah Jonson's team right now, but it would be his next year. It'd be good for him to come into his own a little bit and have a season of being "the man" before he hits the No Boys Allowed league.

However, I realize there is a 0% chance of this happening, especially since he'd likely be drafted lower in 2014 than 2013 regardless of improvements he makes to his game.

Amped about white out day at t&m tommorow afternoon. I have been transformed into and Anthony Marshall believer and am excited for the energy that os going to dumped onto him. Perhaps I have homer vision, but he just turned it on this year after three years of ho hum play. A true leader and amazing perimeter defender among other things....I want him with our second round pick. Interested in pkm's take on him as I know he follows all the nations players really while I really am in tune with this side the missisipi so not sure how he stacks up against other 2nd round prospects. Any chance he is a second round selection. I would think that all the scouts who have been coming to see bennett and birch have been impressed with marshall. Anyone else watched any reb ball this year?

How does everyone feel about the 2nd round? I'm usually pumped on a handful of people but am not really seeing anything yet.
