Now, I'm a securities lawyer. In my business when you represent to the public that you're saving lots of money by counting all the benefits in one period and hiding that you're pushing all the costs into another that's called fraud.

We are helping them secure future picks to help rebuild their team post-Melo. We are giving them a huge expiring contract which frees more money for them next season. Essentially, this trade could bite us in the *** 2-3 years down the line.

So this coming season isn't the future? Yeah, they COULD get better, but so could any other team in the NBA. Denver gets worse this next season with this trade and it's not a given they will be better any further than that.
