Simple poll: do you think Boozer will be with the Jazz next year? I'm interested in what people are currently thinking.

I would go with too close to call. But based on a similar poll I did a week or so go...the majority will probably vote no here.

There have been instances in the past (I think Jordan was one example, not 100% sure, but...) where players, especially ones who were already filthy rich, would knowingly accept a salary below their market value if they thought it would really help the team win a championship. Boozer doesn't strike me as that kinda guy. AK could be one, Williams too, but Boozer? I don't think so! Homey don't play dat.

I hope the Jazz can S&T boozer for Beasley. I know, its risky, but it is the best talent payoff out there, and the finances are good.

Too close to call, come on, that's a wimpy option.

I voted no. End of the regular season I would have said yes but I just feel the Jazz FO won't pay him what some other team will. If we do re-sign him you can expect another cap-clearing deal(s) before the deadline.

I say no. One of the teams that loses out on the big name FA's will over-pay him.

Well, he certainly didn't with Cleveland. Spending $23M on 1 position is ridiculous, unless one of those players is Shaq (in his prime) or MJ. Boozer is good, maybe an all-star, but he's not a Superstar. Superstars can take over games. Superstars don't get completely shut down in a series.

Signing Booz means Utah would have to dump AK's contract. The last time we had to dump a $6M contract it cost a draft pick (Maynor). Everyone thinks it is going to be so easy to get rid of AK before the deadline. It's only easy IF the Jazz are willing to take back some long-term contracts. Then we're doing Team B a favor and they have to give US good players or picks in the deal. If the Jazz don't want to take back salaries then Utah will have to sweeten the pot.

If the Jazz had Boozer or Okur in their prime this year, I'd be happy. Mind you, I've watched 70% of their games since I was twelve - I'm thirty four now.
