All You Negative Nancies Ready To Admit You Over Reacted??

I still think its disappointing if we don't end up with a top 3 pick, not trading Marvin may be the difference between Randle and Parker.

The Jazz can now finish up to tied for 3rd or as low as tied for 4th going into the lottery.

Favors is resigned.

Favors has shown improvement on O.

Burke looks to be panning out into a solid starting PG.

Kanter looks to be consistent on rebounding and O now. His D has improved lately as well.

Burks is a highlight real and looks to be the 6th man on this team.

2 1st rounders coming up in this draft.

Money on the books to be spent.

And it appears to have been decided that Corbin is gone. Lots of hints he will be gone.

I also got to the end of the road much calmer then you. Hate away criers.

yeah.. yeah.. nobody died

Im with stoked.
This season went damn near perfect.

I hated the season from a watching the games perspective and rooting for losses but in the end it could not have went much better.

If the jazz would have won more then our draft pick would have been worse and corbin maybe gets re-signed.

Now corbin is gone and we have a decent shot at adding a real difference maker to our roster through the draft along with new coach and maybe some quality free agents

I think we have a legit chance at the 8-10 seed next year which aint too shabby for such a young and talented team.

I was pissed that corbins dumbass started marv and jeffy ahead of burks and kanter but his stupidity may have been a blessing in disguise.

Since burks and kanter didnt get hayward and favors type of minutes and roles, maybe the jazz can extend for less this summer than they would have if burks and kanter averaged 35 minutes per game as starters.

The future is very bright in my opinion

I was pretty pessimistic for the middle part of the season.

Don't get me wrong, I love every member of our core, but I also think it's pretty clear that none of them will become a superstar and that's what you need to win a title.

Things are shaping up pretty well. If everyone declares (looking at you Jabari), we get a top 5 pick, and Corbin is fired, then I'll be content. And all those things seem pretty likely right now.

Let the new Jazz era begin.

It was DL's plan from the beginning. Keep Corbin on this year to get some extra losses while also making it so we can re-sign Kanter/Burks for less.

I was most disappointed by Favors this season. I thought he showed the least consistent improvement and he should have showed the most. He had spurts of solid games, but whether it was injury, playing out of position, or lack of improving skills, he didn't dominate the paint as I hoped he would. Here is too next season!

The tank was very tenuous. Just because we pulled it out doesn't mean it was simple. I've said all along that a couple wins will be separating a lot of teams, and thus significant chances for a top 3 pick. If we won last night we'd be tooting a completely different horn.

Unfortunately, one of the top two spots belongs to LA, so we better hope we move up into the top 3 because LA is going to push us back.

It was tenous at times, I agree. Still laughed at the people proclaiming doom and gloom form their perches and it was dramtically premature. If we had won last night we'd still be tied for 4th.

I have a bad feeling. Last few times Jazz drafted exactly the players I hated and did not wanted on our team ( Hayward, Burks, Kanter), with exception last year where I was happy with Burke selection. I really, really hope Exum will prove me wrong but I have that same gut feeling we will end up with him somehow.

Those were not bad drafts. Who did you want at that time?

Same wiith Hayward. He was not a bad draft. Sometimes the guy you want is already gone and you have to do the best with who is left.

I agree, all of our picks have not busted and are looking like fine players. You can't say that about some other teams *cough* Cleveland *cough*.

I think Hayward and Kanter will both thrive in a team based system, especially Hayward (hopefully he is around to find out).

I am intrigued by Exum. I'm not a big Burke fan, although the jury is still out. I just don't see Burke being our PG of the future. That said, I admit I have not seen Exum play. A few of the draft picks have long-term upside, I think Jabari will be very good, and some players, like Randle, will be a bust for being a top 5 pick. Exum might be horrible, I just don't know. Hopefully our scouts are on their game, and the pick they want and expect is there (Jazz have a tendency to draft players who are still available they didn't think they'd get, and sometimes didn't even work out or scout ie Borchardt (via trade), Humphries, etc.).

.

It is not about what I wanted instead, I just did not want them in particular. Looking back only George turned out to be clearly superior to Hayward. I think I wanted Ed Davis or Patterson at that time. I wanted Kawhi over Burks badly and could not believe he was left on the board even I am ok with Burks now as he certainly turned out way better than I thought. And I wanted JV over Kanter.

Before you sprain your wrist patting yourself on the back, it would be wise to remember the Jazz may draft as low as 8th spot this summer.

By that logic, only the worst record acceptable, wait you could still fall to 4th. Tanking sucks.
