Aaron Gordon to Utah Jazz - Chad Ford

By the way, I'm almost on board with Gordon at 5. Vonleh is just too pedestrian for me.

If Wiggins, Parker, and Exum all go the top 3, I pray Vonleh goes 4th, leaving us the choice of Gordon or Embiid. A monumental risk I know, but Embiid may be worth it there.

At this point, I'm really hoping for Gordon or Wiggins. The only hands-down area that Wiggins has Gordon is shooting, and yes you can see his shooting form is improved. I'd take either one of them and be very happy.

Gordon, without an improved shot, will get around 9 to 11 ppg next year. With an improved shot, could be in the 16 to 18 range. Not bad for a rookie.

I agree with Gordon in the video, his dribbling is his most underrated skill. He has a mean crossover (which is one reason he gets so many dunks).

While I'm glad he went to Arizona, that offense did nothing to highlight his skills and capabilities. He is a consummate team guy, and again, he was MVP of the US team that included folks like Jabari Parker. He's not garbage, and he's not this huge project that some make him out to be. He is a really, really good basketball player who, if he polishes his shooting, will be a really, really great basketball player.

The one last thing people seem to forget about is that Gordon is very quick. He also thinks very quick. He makes a quick move, sees the double coming and drops a great pass. That's something that we could really benefit from.

Gordon says that if he reaches his potential he can be the best player in this draft. I'm not laughing at that statement. Wiggins or Gordon please.

Another college coach. I'm shocked.

If you listen to Gordon talk for more than a minute you can tell he's a good guy to coach. Also, if you watched him play you can tell his #1 concern is just winning. If we stay at 5 and pick him I'll be excited.

You can also do the same thing that the Clippers do with Griffin where he gets the rebound and immediately turns the ball up the court. You don't want a big doing it every time, but its a huge advantage if he can do it well. It's not a go-to type skill, but think of it like Kevin Love's outlet passes. It creates a few extra fast break opportunities a night.

The poster had been talking about Smart, not Gordon.

Whoops... too many conversations going on... my bad. People seem to rave about Smart, but when I watch him he makes a lot of mental mistakes (including shoving a fan). I also didn't like the twitter thing... not that it was directed at Utah per se... just showed some bad judgement.

I like how Gordon talks and plays... I think he could be great. I know this, we need someone with a little personality to lead this team. We won't get it from most of the guys we have now (I think Burke could become a leader).

Also, while a lot of other players are doing everything to avoid Utah, he seems to be genuinely interested in playing here. If he maxes out his potential, he also seems like the kind of guy who will RECRUIT other players for the Jazz. He's the kind of guy who coaches love, teammates love and opponents hate. I can see how he'd fit in with this team and community and become the face of the franchise in no time.

Eh...just draft Gordon then. I don't feel like trading half the team to ****ty Cleveland just because those lucky mofos struck gold on draft night.

I would trade Favors if the Jazz were confident in getting Greg Monroe....who they have always really liked.

Trey Burke
Gordon Hayward/Alec Burks
Jabari Parker/AK47
Greg Monroe/Enes Kanter
Rudy Gobert

So we are going to be even worse at defense?

Gordon I going be a good player. High Energy player. Open your eyes. He will be on highlight after highlight. Bring some excitement to the team. Soeone the players can throw a lob too. KId has al lthe tool

What if the Jazz draft him, though? Wouldn't that make him just another douchebag player, on a douchebag team, selected by a douchebag GM, to play for a douchebag fanbase in a douchebag state?
