What's new

For stoked GAME THREAD!!

LOL....Not if you live in America within the last 300 years

Do you still spell Congress with an "F"

Websters has both forms listed.

You sir are a grade A spelling Nazi who can't even do it right. Sad.

Butt EYE dont rally geeve a damn bout' speling ya herd?

Amazing people still find things to bitch about - I'm not even going to try to judge Exum's game until about 40 games in. Right now I see plenty of potential and that's enough for me.

For me the excitement revolves around The Jazz finding two late round draft choices in Gobert and Hood who have starter-like talent written all over them within 1-3 years.

How the hell did Hood last to the 23rd pick?

How many teams do you think would buy Gobert right now for 3 million dollars like we did?

How many teams are there? That is your answer.
Gobert is da man

OMG someone has reading comprehension issues. Lol

You differentiated their skill set but compared Kobe's struggles as a rookie with Exum's current growing pains, saying they are similar in age and hype. I don't think it's helpful to Exum to mix him up in any way with Kobe. Let Exum become his own player. He doesn't have to be an all-time great. If he becomes an All-Star and eventually helps lead Utah to its first championship that's more than enough.

Yes, I do. From Webster's on-line dictionary:

Full Definition of CONGRESS

1
a : the act or action of coming together and meeting
b : coitus

2: a formal meeting of delegates for discussion and usually action on some question

...

So there is a word that starts with an "F" that can be used as a crude synonym for 1b.

The key question is how much do you think these teams are going to pay to "buy" Gobert in a couple of years? He's going to get a deal bigger than Favors'.

And I agree with candrew re: Hood. Maybe I'm a homer (or reverse racialist), but I like Hood more than McBuckets.

Jazz appear to have gotten two of the biggest steals of the draft in consecutive years. That is how contenders are built. Even IF Exum is just average, or heaven forbid, a bust, I'd still rank the last 2 drafts a success. Not passing judgment (or is that judgement?) on Burke and Exum, but Jazz may have gotten top-10 talent with the picks in the 20's and Trey and Dante are valued behind them.

here ya go.

To some people, being a fan isn't just supporting your team when they're not very good, but it's wanting them to be the best they can. Sometimes that means it's best for a coach/player to leave. Recognizing that doesn't make somebody less of a fan, it just makes them more realistic, and quite frankly, less ignorant towards the situation.

I wanted Ty gone, badly. I wanted him gone because as a fan, I wanted the best for my team. Don't act like you're better than people because you supported everybody, all the time. Some people aren't content with mediocrity...some people are.

Apologies. I was not trying to be "holier-than-thou" but I can see that it comes off that way. Cheers.

'member when this guy was the only healthy PG on the team and a former lottery pick had just been waived and then the Jazz didn't sign him. That was sweet.

Look at the bright side, if The Jazz picked up Kendall Marshall we'd probably all be arguing about whether or not Marcus Smart can play the 2.

I'm grateful for him, he was so bad that even Corbin couldn't start him over Burke the rookie.

Good guy though.
