I love broccoli and brown rice as well.
Brown rice is soooo overated. We all agree that white rice is ***. Spoonful of white rice might as well be a spoon full of sugar. Brown rice is barely more healthy than white rice. Just a little bit more fiber and protein. The best carbs are veggies and beans. If beans weren't some cheap well known food people would think of it as some sort of exotic weight loss grain. Compare the fiber and protein that beans have with rice, whole wheat, oatmeal, sweet potatoes, quinoa, bulghur (many turks will know this), tef (ethopian grain). Beans beats them all.
