I think it's a no for both sides. If Philly hypothetically does this to clear salary to sign someone, then take that same perspective for us. Is having Fultz better than not being able to sign someone? I'm willing to bet some other team would value him enough to give a pick or something.
They would not. They could get down to 6 guaranteed contracts with 28 million in space left.@Kyoto
If Philly trades Fultz for an expiring, they would have max money to add somebody to Butler, Embiid and Simmons.

Idiots!!Lol. That was the first time I had the same thought.
If Philly is willing to trade him for just an expiring wouldn't that tell you how broke his brain is? And if his brain is that broke you really want him?
I'm legit asking... have there been any cases where professional athletes got complete over the yips? I can't think of any... hell charles barkley still can't swing a golf club. Dude needs therapy, not a shooting coach. The brain is harder to fix on this type of stuff. It's a no for me. If I was a team like Phoenix or Orlando I'd do it and remove a ton of pressure... have him work with a therapist... go from there. For us he'd be a huge distraction imo.
Why on Earth would Philly even want Burks? They'd rather have Kyle Korver or a Wayne Ellington type. Burks isnt a good shooter. He's a guy who has been shooting well for 13 games. He isn't the off-ball catch and shoot threat the Sixers need.
And I don't see the upside of trading Burks for draft considerations (likely a single 2nd round pick) and a player (likely worse than Burks and possibly not expiring).
Chuck Knoblach(sp?) was a really good defensive 2B, and at a certain point in his career got the yips and just couldn't throw the ball accurately from 2nd to first. Iirc, he retired never having overcome it.If Philly is willing to trade him for just an expiring wouldn't that tell you how broke his brain is? And if his brain is that broke you really want him?

And I'm telling you that they are wrong. They arent accounting for the minimum roster charges. 7 guaranteed contracts = 5 open roster spots. Minimum roster charge is 888,888. 888,888 * 5 = $4,444,444Once again Cy, I'm not making this up. I sent out numerous links the other day. Here is another:
https://sixerswire.usatoday.com/2018/11/10/sixers-jimmy-butler-trade-markelle-fultz-future/
“Including the $30.7M Jimmy Butler free agent hold, Philadelphia will have roughly $21M in cap space for 2019-20. The room includes renouncing all free agents except for Butler and TJ McConnell. The 76ers would be close to adding another max slot if they find a home for former first overall pick Markelle Fultz.”

But i agree, I'm beginning to doubt Fultz ever figures it out.
I did make one error, I accepted Korkmaz by mistake.http://www.shamsports.com/capulator?id=8039909025bec5fae2800e498529261
This is doing every possible thing after trading for Burks to get to the lowest total salarry.
