2020 Presidential election

Republicans sure do get worked up on the strangest things. They seem to care more about Warren’s ancestry than that the president calling Nazis “very fine people” or claiming he trusted Putin over our own intelligence communities with regards to Russia’s attack on us in 2016.

I guess it’s a reflection of how biased and intellectually lazy we’ve become?

I didn't follow it closely, but my initial feelings on the Warren bit were not positive. I have some native ancestry (3 generations back) and grew up on the rez. I'm not a tribal member though, and would never even consider putting down American Indian as my race. It seems clearly offensive and manipulative to me that she did so.

This is of course only relevant in comparison to other democratic primary contenders. Should she make the general it wouldn't show up on a list of the 1000 least likable things Trump has done.

No. She 100% changed the way she sounds in order to pander to the audience. She was practically mocking them.

Since you're just trolling, I'm not going to assume you are as stupid as you sound right now.

Everyone changes the way they sound based on to whom they are talking. People raise or lower their voices, change their dialects and accents (if they were raised around multiple dialects and accents), etc. Ocasio-Cortez spoke in a manner that many people around her spoke growing up, to the appropriate people.

Offensive I understand. Who do you think she was trying to manipulate with her 1986 Texas Bar registration card?

I have no idea what she was trying to manipulate. But the options are either manipulation or idiocy I guess. As she doesn't strike me as an idiot I went with manipulation as the more likely explanation.

Nah. Just not true. Dems get worked up over the stupidest ****. Such as fake Russian conspiracies and fake Nazi dog whistles.

Oh my gosh guys. Trump isn't bowing down to our demands that he denounce nazi's every second that we demand him to. Therefore he must support Nazi's.

How is that not cultural appropriation or different than cultural appropriation?

By the way, I dont see anything wrong with cultural appropriation. I see it as more of respect, liking, and honoring another culture. But of course its one more thing for the liberal white savior to cry about.

The problem is Trump has never passed up an opportunity to not denounce them.

Id do the same thing. You arent going to bully me into apologizing for something I didnt do.

Giving into the ridiculous demands of denouncing Nazi's is weak sauce. If he knows he isnt racist and hasn't done anything that says hes racist, then he shouldn't have to explain that he isnt racist.

This is just the BS tactic the left uses when they cant get their way. The left are a bunch of little whiney bitches. They cant accomplish anything any other way so they have weaponized excuse making and personal attacks.

Dont agree with me = racist
Dont get my way = Ill call you a racist
Or insert sexist, xenophobe, or whatever.

This **** has gone off the rails. The next boy liberal who cries racism needs to be kicked in the nuts. Everyone is tired of the beta male white savior liberal. Even the people they pretend to be saving are tired of it. They dont want your stupid help. They can stand on their own two feet. Go take care of your own stuff. You are embarrassing.

The Russians conspired to influence our Presidential election. That's not in question even a little bit. So how many times do you get to call real **** fake and expect to be taken seriously?

Hint: you ran out of chances to be taken seriously a LONG LONG time ago.

I also don't buy into 90% of what people call cultural appropriation. The only thing I can get behind as far as calling out cultural appropriation is when someone is using someone else's culture in a mocking or degrading way.

Culture doesn't really belong to anyone. Culture is not a static thing. Culture is something that occurs naturally in communities based on thousands of intermingled factors.

My biggest example is with food. The **** someone is gonna tell me I can't make all sorts of different cultural food and share it or even open up a restaurant and sell it. I want to smack people when they say stupid **** like "Oh, your grandma is from Mexico? I bet she makes really good salsa." Like wtf? Recipes aren't genetic. There's nothing about a grandma from Mexico that makes her especially well equipped to make great salsa. There's nothing stopping me from making great salsa, better salsa than she makes. I don't have to ask anyone's permission to make salsa.

This is how most 'liberals' and 'leftists' I know feel about it as well. If you're not mocking the culture we won't care.

Also telling is that reports indicate the DHS, when communicating with Trump himself, stays away from the topic of Russian interference in the 2020 election. That one cannot raise the issue with Trump because it affects his ego. So, he is not exactly into cybersecurity and the 2020 election, despite taking an oath to protect and defend.
Do you think there is a chance that Trump will do a worse job of keeping the Russians from interfering than Obama did?

Well I'll be damned.

I knew if I leaned right hard enough I could get the wagon back off the two left wheels and back on all four.

You guys are welcome.

I never said the Russians didnt. Ive said Trump wasnt in some grand conspiracy with them.

The left has literally tried to say he is a Russian asset. Someone working in direct interests of the Russians.

That is fake news.

Do you think there is a chance that Trump will do a worse job of keeping the Russians from interfering than Obama did?

Since Trump stood in front of the world's cameras in Helsinki, with Putin by his side, and said Putin told him that Russia had not interfered, and Trump didn't see why they would have interfered, (and I don't buy his next day correction, it would have been absurd in the context at the time), and since it apparently bruises his ego to have Russian interference in 2020 raised in his presence, and since he basically does not give a **** if they do interfere, he was fine with it in 2016 after all, then, yeah, I think so. Leave it to him, and he will do nothing whatsoever. A worse job? He would do no job at all if left to him alone.

Who stopped Obama from getting a joint condemnation of Russia before the election, by both parties? McConnell, who stated he would call it interference in the election by Obama.
