Utah Jazz Players in the FIBA World Cup(in China)

If Rudy is going to get the supermax then it is only fair to ask him to add a offensive counter move.

I agree with you and hope he's working on a consistent jump hook specifically, kind of like that little line-drive thing Shaq used to do. I've always thought a consistent sky hook would be one of the deadliest moves for him due to his wingspan, but it's a tough shot to learn and then master. Is Kareem coaching anywhere?

Giannis leads, but does Greece have much of a team? I'd probably say Jokic. Hopefully the US defeats Serbia, but US doesn't have much in the way of bigs. I can see Jokic having some monster games and Serbia going far.
Pretty sure they’d have Calathes (who’s crushing in Europe) and Koufos. I would also assume Olympiakos has some decent players since they’re traditionally one of the better non-NBA pro teams in the world.

I always hate this. I realize that playing for your country has value and I wouldn’t want to tell them not to play. . . but contracts in the NBA have gotten to the level that a PG type injury is devastating to your title hopes. It’s not worth the risk of injury to be there. Especially since the wear and tear of 82 games is rough. They need their downtime.

I couldn't disagree with you more. The NBA and world has gone to a state where, if you work hard, you'll get injured or hurt. Our players have as great of a chance of injuring themselves in the first 2 minutes of the 1st game of the season as they do any other time in the season. Playing in the summer Olympics should bare little concern on injuries. Our players will come out and begin the season hitting the ground running because of it.
They're playing for their Country and anyone who denies that opportunity is a weakling.

Windhorst and Simmons talk a lot about Mitchell. Windhorst says he's watched 5 scrimmages and Donovan is the guy that has exploded on the scene and everyone at Team USA camp is talking about. They talk a bit about the Jazz and Mitchell's season next year.

I'm sorry but It's difficult for me to take anything Windhorst says seriously.I dont even mean it like, because he's a great big fat slob resembling a Hutt from Star Wars who looks like he hasnt picked up abasketball since childhood. More because I've just heard him say so much unfounded BS over the years. He's a narrative guy, like Ramona Shelbourne, there's a formula they use to come up with their bs, its ALWAYS sensationalized or it's not worth them touching....

U can basically see the Popsicle stick shoved up these ESPN writers behinds if u look closely.

See; Gangstarr - Piece of Mine

De'Aaron Fox. D-Mitchell and Kemba in the same backcourt is gonna be quite a show tho...

These other teams can practice all they want, once it coems down to game-time their not gonna be able to keep our guys infront of them...

Windhorst has been one of the best reporters this off-season. Also, he doesn't need to have touched a basketball in his life to have ears and contacts with people who have and are high up in Team USA Basketball.

BTW France has a game today:

France is horrible. They might not get out of their group at the World Cup.

This surprises me. They have like six nba guys on their roster. Do they feed Gobert? Who would even be able to slow him other than Jokic?
His coach will slow him down just OK. That's 4th straight summer he cannot figure out how to use a top tier NBA center.

To be fair they've played better in the 2 games after I posted that... I might have overreacted to the first 2 games I saw. Still I have no trust in Collet to lead that team to anything significant.
