2020 Presidential election

If you can't see the evidence, it means you are not looking for it.
-Maoism of China
-USSR
-Venezuela
-North Korea
-Cuba

If you can provide examples of "capitalism gone wrong" that have led to more death, poverty, pain, and suffering than the countries I listed above, please feel free to enlighten me.

You said "long term government intervention". Some countries where we have long-term (100 years or more) government intervention in the markets:

United States
Great Britain
Switzerland
Sweden

Some more where we have intervention for as long as the current government has existed:
Germany
France
Belgium
Luxembourg

Now, feel free to show me a country where there is not long-term government intervention, and show me how successful it is.

Considering how long we've went back on forth on various topics, I feel like you know this argument is disingenuous. Clearly I didn't mean "long term government intervention" as "mixed economies". The level of intervention our government is showing now (trillions in stimulus for many of us to stay home) can't last long without us turning into one of the examples I gave.

Now, feel free to show me a country where there is not long-term government intervention, and show me how successful it is.
Maybe this exists on another planet somewhere.

This video makes clear something I've felt strongly about. We don't beat Trump by playing his game, aka we need a liberal blowhard to go toe to toe with Trump. We need strong policy, sound logic and an appeal to rationality. That's why I was so encouraged by Warren early. I felt like she was the perfect embodiment of those qualities.

The government doesn't create, it only takes..

free market capitalism created the moon launch, the interstate highway system, the internet, and other trivial things. All with no government help.

I’m a fiscal conservative and even I see through this nonsense

I am very disappointed in the process that led us to Biden as our candidate. Warren, Klobuchar, Booker, Sanders and Yang were all better picks. My favorite was Warren, but 'you go to war with the army you have, not the one you wish you had.' I'll support Biden as a means of ridding the nation of its greatest threat.

The wealth necessary to create all the things you mention, was generated by capitalism (individuals engaging in voluntary free exchange), and subsequently seized by the government (taxes).

I'm not suggesting government can't build things, provide services, or redistribute wealth. A level of government is necessary, and can assist in allowing long-term capitalism to thrive (legal system, roads, environmental laws, etc.). However, everything it accomplishes can only happen through taking from productive members of society. Hence, government does not create wealth.

The stimulus money being distributed is not from the government, it's from taxpayers. The only way to pay for this are to increase our tax rates in the very near future, print money (a tax on savings), or increase the national debt (a tax on our children and grandchildren).

That wealth was generated is a system of regulation and government intervention, often on the sides of various businesses.

Hence, government does not create wealth.

True, it is merely one essential ingredient. The only true means of generating wealth is exploitation.

That's what taxes are for.

Biden sucks hard. But you know what also sucks? That everyone that was a better pick also sucks pretty bad, but just a little bit less. Unfathomable that they could not find one legit candidate in the last 4 years. So we are stuck with the same old pig slop BS tomfoolery. It's absurd.

Sanders, Warren, Klobuchar, and Harris were all decent candidates.

I would have voted Sanders. Warren is a fake *** skeezy old bag, Harris is so freaking full of ****, Klobuchar seemed tolerable, Tulsi seemed ok, Pete seemed ok but has nowhere near enough experience imo. But if the best you can come up with in 4 years is ok and borderline dead old dudes then there are some serious issues.

True, it is merely one essential ingredient. The only true means of generating wealth is exploitation.
Wealth is created through voluntary exchanges, which over time allows for the growth of wealth through specialization, economies of scale, and comparative advantage. If you want to try and label that as "exploitation" than that's your call. However, as a consumer, you and I are just as much a part of that "exploitation" as everyone else. Your home, car, electronics, medical supplies, are all part of that system that allows us to live and prosper.

Please feel free to respond on an exploitation device of your choice.

I agree that exploitation is a fundamental part of the current system. I will vote where I can to change it.
