It was a misrepresentation, but not exactly in the manner I assumed.

Biden's VP pick, if he ever chooses one, will be telling if he's on board with the radical left. The fact Biden is now largely supporting Bernie's free tuition and student loan elimination is worrisome.

Don't be worried
He wont operate as a king. The policies that he wants will have to go through the proper channels and would have to be well thought out.
Free tuition and student loan elimination would be unlikely to pass through Congress even he wanted them too. If they did pass then that would mean there was a well thought out plan in place to make it work and in that case out would be a good thing.

I believe they said Biden would make his VP pick sometime around the first week of August.

Still think Harris is the likely pick.

What’s wrong with some form of free tuition and/or student loan forgiveness? Seems to me that those things might be necessary if we ever hope to restart this economy and turn the tables on wealth inequality. Especially for those going into the medical profession. After this pandemic we might need it to rebuild our health care system.

Like we understand most western democracies do these sort of things for its citizens, right?

so lawyers fighting a legal battle in court has now become harassing nuns?

Desperation.

and to be clear, I think this is a tough issue, I see both sides, and tend to side with the religious organizations In their right to not cover birth control.

Do you agree that they have a right to refuse to sign a document saying they will not cover birth control, because that would allow the employee to get it paid for?

Honestly I have not studied this closely enough to understand your question.

Yes, it would be horrible to provide free education. Heaven knows that only those who can afford it truly deserve an education.
 
So I have a question. When did people start buying merchandise featuring politicians? Like I see MAGA hats and Trump flags and t-shirts and stuff. Is that how its always been? I don't remember seeing things like that in the past but maybe its just cause i never cared about politics so I didn't notice. Maybe i saw t-shirts and hats of past politicians and just didn't know who they were.

I cant ever imagine myself wearing an item of clothing featuring a politician or buying a flag promoting a politician. Seems weird to me.

The federal government requires the insurance companies to cover the contraceptives. If the employer does not wish to pay for it, the employer can sign a waiver, and the insurance company will offer the coverage separately to the employee. Some companies are refusing to sign the waiver, to make sure the insurance company does not cover the employee, saying signing a waiver would make them complicit in the employee getting birth control.

What's your opinion on that?

I do recall seeing "I like Ike" buttons from time to time.
