Not being ruled out of the series is interesting wording. Who the hell jumps to series?
Kind of like how Mike Conley wasn't ruled out of the Clippers series last year.

It looks like at the least we won't be at a rest disadvantage if we can get past the Mavs.Looks like the Pels are going to get Games 3 and 4 at home without Booker playing. Big opportunity to go up 3-1.
Don't jinx this.Looks like the Pels are going to get Games 3 and 4 at home without Booker playing. Big opportunity to go up 3-1.
I'm having flashbacks to the 07 season when the 8 seed Warriors beat the #1 seed Mavs in the first round, then the Jazz beat the Warriors to advance to the conference finals.
Are you talking about Phoenix?? Because the jazz and clippers were the teams with injuries. DM was on one leg by game 5 and Conley was out until game 6.I'm having flashbacks of 2021, when the Jazz had a clear path to the finals against injured opponents and blew it anyways/
Unless Chris Paul also goes down they are going to win in 5 or 6.What if Phoenix loses...oh boy the path to the WCF has become a distinct possibility.
I don’t think we could beat NOP. Remember what they did to us a month ago? They’re too athletic. What if Phoenix loses...oh boy the path to the WCF has become a distinct possibility.

If Phoenix wins Friday, they'll close this out in 5, but if the Pelicans win, that series is going 7 IMO.If I'm rooting for anyone outside of the Jazz it's Phoenix. Not that I like CP3 or anything, in fact I can't really stand the guy. But hell, they've put together something special, and they've never won it, just like us. It's about time we get a string of teams win the ring who've never been there before. It's good for the league, and the game overall. And I can't stand seeing the same teams with the rings every ****ing year.
Celtics also have an incredibly versatile team that a coach can do a lot with and their FO has consistently been ahead of the ball in terms of managing their assets so they had the firepower to nab a guy like WhiteThe Celtics had a horrible start and looked dead in the water. Smart was one of the most talked about players on the trade markets, and people began to suspect that they might have to breakup the J's. Now they're looking like the best team in the league.
They have a coach that was willing to make changes to the way they played, a FO that was willing to make necessary moves to improve, and instead of complaining about the "*******" on the team Smart's personality rubbed off on the rest of the team and they all started playing harder.
So many injuries to star players early in the playoffs.

I could fully get behind shortening the season to 72 games or something and over the same time frame. Nearly eliminate back to back games. Reduce fatigue and strain on the players. Hell even be able to have the players play most of the games, unlike now when resting games are such a common thing. I am sure they still make money due to ticket sales and TV revenue, but it sure is a bummer when you buy some nice tickets to go see, idk, LBJ or someone and instead they sit their stars to rest for that game. Not a great fan experience. Or the national games where the stars are sitting.I think one of the dumbest things about American sports is that we have turned evey leagues regular season into such a grind that it hurts the playoffs. It's ****ing stupid too because especially in the NBA every analyst jokes about how unimportant regular season games are. Why are we playing so many games no one actually cares about?
*And yes I know the reason is money. Yet another thing American greed has ruined*
