I think he will have to be dealt at the deadline after he proves he can be a 6th man of the year type player again. So basically not shoot sub 33% from 3Still think he’s ~neutral value for certain fits. Which could also be translated as no teams are trying to trade for Clarkson.
But yeah, he’s probably here this year. Really good tank commander.

I think he probably will. Clarkson has been a positive offensive player most of his career and he has improved his all-around offensive skillset the last two years. If he shoots 33% he's a good bench sparkplug who can help your offense. If he shoots 35% or above he's a wildly positive offensive player.Alternatively, he won't, once he proves he can't be.
I think the most you can hope for is expiring contracts and a 2nd rounder or two.We can pray for the Lakers to suck and make a desperation move mid season where we get the protections dropped in ‘27.
How many 32 year old guards improve year over year?No surprises here, he's 32 and was one of the worst players in the NBA last season. Nobody is going to want that....maybe power of friendship can change that.
On the brightside, it will be difficult to be as bad as he was again.

It's not really about improving. It was one really bad shooting year. I would say his overall skillset did improve as a 32 year old.How many 32 year old guards improve year over year?
**** it. In this case, hurt the ****ing tank.I like Jordan Clarkson. I just don't want 32+ minutes a night of Jordan Clarkson. However if you play him less he will probably be much better in those minutes which may hurt your tank.
Clarkson was really bad last year. He was probably the main reason for losing. He was getting assists but also turning it over a lot and bad turnovers. That said if he goes back to scoring 6th main and isn't trying to create for others as much he will have up and down games but he will by himself win you a handful of games when he's hot. He will also lose you games by himself though. For a team trying to win that's not great for a team trying to lose that's also not great. That would be a bad news for the tank. Jordan was leading the Jazz in assists last year. Even if his shot not falling he could be positive because of his playmaking. We have a collection of players whose impact could be greatly multiplied by a competent passer - Kessler, Lauri, Hendricks. Having one more experienced playmaker besides Sexton could easily result in 3-5 more wins, especially against other tanking teams. That could easily be the difference between finishing with the 3rd or 8th worst record.
