Who will be our leading scorer?

I voted for Hayward. However, it's funny that the two with the greatest scoring potential are both up for new contracts (Burks & Kanter). It may be interesting to see big years from them, barring injury.

Patrick Beilein joining Quin Snyder's Utah Jazz staff

Also, I believe that he was on the WVU team with Kevin Pittsnogle. That was a fun team to watch in the tourney.

Patrick Beilein joining Quin Snyder's Utah Jazz staff

I also must admit that I am encouraged by the new direction of Jazz management. They see a need and for the most part, have been addressing it. Pretty much all of our players could use a fine-tuning on their shooting.

Kevin Pelton (analytics guru) would have taken Exum #1

It's an awesome feeling to finally have a player with "elite" potential. I am really excited to see what our players can do with a new coaching staff.

I am fully on board with Exum starting at PG

This is just my opinion, but I felt that he almost always made the right pass and was always looking for the open guy, instead of looking for his own shot. I am a little concerned with this shot. However, someone mentioned that it could be due to his poor conditioning at this moment. Also, he...

I am fully on board with Exum starting at PG

I'm all for starting Exum at PG day 1. Even if he doesn't score a single point, he has that "It" factor of running an offense. Plus, I'm not concerned with the PG scoring. That's why I've never been overly enamored with guys like Rose and Westbrook. The only issue now is that Burke doesn't...

    Free Agent Rumors Thread

For the most part, I would like for us to roll with the current young squad. I'd say that we give Malcolm Thomas a camp invite and bring in a couple of the other summer league standouts (from other teams). I know that someone mentioned Seth Curry; we could definitely use more shooting help.

You asked for it...now your getting it.

For 0-3, we're playing very well, IMO. The only reason to panic would be if our veterans were keeping us in the game, and the rookies were killing us. That's not the case. I agree that the future looks bright. We definitely have our 4 & 5 combo of the future.

Game 2 - Jazz at Suns - 11/1/13 @8:00 PM Mountain Time - Root Sports, 1280/97.5 The Zone

To be perfectly honest, this cast of Jazz players is probably one of my favorite ever. Despite tanking supposedly being beneficial, the first two losses have actually bothered me. I've truly wanted them to win; last year I really didn't have the same care. Not to overrate the first games, but...

My Thoughts on the Preseason Opener

I get the joke now. I just saw the other thread. Game related, Boler made the comment that few teams will try to go inside on us this year with Kanter and Favors roaming the paint. This is going to be a great year. I'm saying it now; I think we may contend for an 8 seed.

My Thoughts on the Preseason Opener

Lol, I've like posted twice. Anyways, I just finished watching the game. Overall, I was really impressed. The biggest improvement? Our backup point guard can actually shoot.

    Singler or Jerebko anyone?

Jerebko has impressed me, actually. However, I'm all for keeping the lineup the way it is. If we surprise and sneak into the playoffs, that's awesome. If we're terrible and get a high pick, then that's great too. I feel that we are in a great situation, regardless of which direction we go.

    NBA Future Power Rankings

It would be very interesting if LeBron does leave the Heat after this season. With LeBron gone, and a broken down Wade, the Heat are suddenly not that great.

    Burke starts day 1

I think that a comparable situation is what is happening in the NFL. Most teams are starting rookie QBs from day 1. I believe that for the most part, if they have the ability they should be able to succeed anyway. We are in a so-called rebuilding phase, anyway, so there will be some rough...

    Jazz FA rumors

I think that I know why the Jazz would consider signing Bynum. Pretty much all of the analysts are saying that teams would only sign him to a one year contract to prove himself anyway. So, the Jazz sign him to a one year contract, let him drastically improve his stock, and then flip him at the...

Thanks, I'm also a big-time Tennessee Titans fan so I combined the names.

    Randy Rigby Interview

With physical talents aside, success is normally about those who have an elite work ethic and drive. The Jazz have a huge opportunity with Kanter and Favors to have a great future.

If only we had a Big as NASTY as Zach Randolph...

Yep, KG is the type of player that you hate to play against, but would love to have on your team. Every team needs a player that can mentally get into the other team's head. I think that Kanter definitely has the ability to become that kind of menace.
