Alec Burks, out for the season with a shoulder injury, still working on his shot before each game. Fighter.
Jazz win. Lakers do not score more than 65
Yeah really liked him too. High energy, high Bball IQ guy. He is playing for Adelaide currently. Never saw him live but his stats sure look fine.
18.6PPG, 7.2RPG playing nearly 28 minutes and shooting .526, .492(59 3PA), .736(106 FTA)
Am I being too optimistic here or is his game better suited for the NBA? I always felt that way when I had the chance to see him play. Especially that game before the WC against team US. I don't know maybe it's because he is so likeable but I would like to think that he can suceed here.

The Utah Jazz are signing the Idaho Stampede's Jack Cooley to a 10-day contract, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.
I guess DL is on fire.

So you're assuming we sign him for the minimum? I was thinking there is no way he is coming over for the minimum. Just me doe. I mean the Sixers signed Aldemir in a similiar situation during the season and his cap hit is almost $3M. That kind of deal would take away $2,5M of our cap space.
His next year better be a team option.
We have some cap space this off season and with Gordons contract just going two more years we have to start winning at least a little bit next season. It's time to use all that flexibility on something "impactful and more known". If we sign him and he...
He did not count the draft pick against the cap. If you do that (say the cap hit for the 10th pick) we have at best $15,7M in cap space. Basically the figure I had in the OP.
The new salary cap is set after the July Moratorium. I don't think there is a specific date whether or not one qualifies for the MLE. Could be wrong tho. It should be possible to keep Trevor at first and look for a homerun and after you have an agreement with a FA you call the league office and...
It's like this. You either have the MLE or you have cap space. Not both. It doesn't work like that. You can't sign free agents and after that act like you are over the cap. If you start FA as a team w/ cap space it stays that way.
About rookies:
1. Draft a player.
2. You don't have to sign the...
Once we operate under the cap(cap space) we lose the non tax player MLE. The only exceptions we can use are the room MLE or the bi-anual exception. There is no chance Trevor falls for that. Why shoud he? That is considerably less money. So once you cut him he is gone.
Yeah there is no $18M to...
With the current Kanter trade and all the discussions going on about who we should get in free agency I decided to make this salary cap thread so people have a better understanding where we are at and what actually is or is not possible.
#1: The situation we will start free agency including...
