Gordo is pretty ripped up. Just can't tell because of how white he is. Looks like he is ready.

"It's a clean slate for him coming in. Whatever happened in the past--the last couple years with his career--whatever. We want him to come in and show what you can do, and expect to play with us, and expect a role on this team. And he's been tremendous at that." -- Ty Corbin on RJ

"the younger guys are the focal point of what is going on here ... he has a big part in what's going on here, and he has a big part of whether that part bigger or smaller" --Ty Corbin on RJ

Also talks about Jeremy working inside and out, and excited about getting him time on the floor. Said his lean body is still an issue, but "man, he competes."

Only heard glowing reviews concerning Gordon so far. Aggressively looking for his shot, setting people up when it is right, competing like crazy, being in great shape, and leading.

Locke mentioned how Trey and Gordon are super competitive and push each other. Down to competing in sprints. Love it

Trey Burke Day 3 Interview Quotes:

https://pro.kfnz-am.tritonflex.com/common/page.php?pt=1320+KFAN+Audio&id=753&is_corp=0#

(on summer league) "I think it was a mental thing: missed a couple shots and confidence started to go down." --Trey Burke

(about training camp) "Not really looking for my shot as much. Looking to get others involved, and when my shot is there, I'm taking it and knocking it down." --Trey Burke

This makes me happy :)

"The biggest adjustment I would say is just pace, and, uh, making the right play" --Trey Burke

(About Gordon) "Oh, really good. Gordon's a really good shooter. A guy you hit when he's open you know he's gonn' knock it down. A guy that can slash and get to the rim. And at the same time, he defends really well." --Trey Burke

(About Gordon's maturity). "Absolutely. You can tell he has some experience under his belt. ... It's always good having a guy like Gordon out there on the court, who if you don't know what's going on, he can tell you. ... It's definitely fun playing with him." --Trey Burke

(About Gordon). "He's been vocal. Him, Alec, myself. I'm trying to be a leader as well, but Gordon, absolutely he's been vocal. He's doing a good job of leading the team." --Trey Burke

Gordon Hayward Day 3 Interview Quotes:

"I like to lead by example and make sure I'm doing everything the right way, 'cause people are watching." --Gordon Hayward

"I think we all realize we have a lot of work to do this year." --Gordon Hayward

"Defensively is where I think our mindset is going to be." --Gordon Hayward

(on RJ) "he knows sneaky maneuvers and kind of has that veteran presence." --Gordon Hayward

"I've definitely told guys what to do, and shown guys different things we can do off of plays, and I remember asking the same questions, so things have changed a little bit." --Gordon Hayward

Bill Oram
"With all this Malone talk, I somehow forgot to mention his work with Trey Burke today. Appeared to be talking P&R w/ young PG."

So Trey has received Pn'R advice from the two best to ever do it. Sweet!

The Jazz will be watching the Utes game tonight @ Rice-Eccles, if you're there take some Photos of Kanter hanging with the locals![

Dude doesn't even realize he could be 5 minutes away from losing his girl.

Could be? She is probably already pregnant just in the time it took them to take that photo.

Prehensile.

Coach Ty, why did Jeremy play in only 37 games last season, and a career low of 215 minutes on your way to missing the playoffs?

Because he played the same position as Millsap, AJ, Favors and Kanter. Perhaps Ty's statement means that Jeremy has improved enough to be on the floor. It is pretty obvious if you stop looking to criticize everything Ty does.

Enes is offended by that remark. Kanter lasts at least 10 mins. from what some on this board have confessed.

I doubt that Enes the Menace cares about Jazzfanz at all. They all should though.

It always surprises me how some Jazz fanz are critical of players based upon summer league. I wasn't a huge Burke fan before the draft and would have been just as happy or even more if the Jazz drafted Schroeder or CJ. They all have weaknesses in his game but how about we give the kid a few years before you label him a bust.

Do you really think Burke isn't going to adjust to the 24 second clock. Besides the fact that the Jazz have always struggled with 24 clock violations because of their style of play. What I want out of Burke is to improve his ability to run the team and look to pass first and then shoot. If he did really learn this from Stockton and can bring it to the court then he will be just what we are looking forward. Burke will struggle so people need to be patient instead of crapping all over the kid.

I will be more disappointed if the Core4 suck wind. I am also looking for Evans to contribute this year. Yea that is right!! I think Evans can be a solid role player off the bench especially if he can keep his confidence up enough to trust his shot.

I have to admit. I'm gonna be a little nervous for Trey and how the season starts. If its anything like the summer league, it could be a disaster.

If this is the case, the we get a better pick and darft harrison, smart, exum or whoever..... this season is win, win, win, and silver linings everywhere.

No big al!

This is why I didn't want to draft a pg last year. Chances are Harrison falls right into our laps, not to mention I'm on record saying I wouldn't pick Burke in the top ten. This would mean we wasted a pick in the 13 draft.

So, who would have been a better pick for us than Burke?
There wasn't a better pick than Burke, or a better draft possible beyond what Lindsey did.
