2019 Trade Deadline Discussion

I think Locke made a comment a few days ago about maybe the Jazz could make a trade to be worse this year, but better in a few years. I couldn’t figure out who he was talking about. I now wonder if it is Lonzo Ball. He has trashed NOLA, so maybe if he get traded for Davis they would move Ball on to another team rather than deal with the headache of the Ball family.

I really thought we had to make a trade for conley or anybody else but at the end... I was thinking... and when I saw Rudy crying, I changed my mind. Why? Just because I realise how human our current team is. I was thinking about Derrick and Ricky, and I really love them even if I understood we have to upgrade. These guys have a such love for each other and for the jazz. Remember the cohesion, the passion, the love against okc playoff, all together like just one man. Remember all the love derrick give to us in his tv it's and when he was back to Rudy against green. I love these guys and now again they will support Rudy as their bro. Guys, we know what we are losing but not what we are going to have. We are a small market and have players like derrick or Ricky is something we forget to appreciate.
I don't know I'm just thinking and I just noticed how much I love these guys together...

It's weird because seeing Rudy cry and show how much passion he has for the game gave me the opposite impression. I've had the feeling for weeks that DL would probably stand pat because of how great the chemistry of the team is. But after seeing Rudy's passion for accolades, recognition and team success I get the feeling that DL might be thinking he's got to take swings and avoid complacency.

I think he can be, but then you have to get a scorer at the 4. I think its just cheaper asset wise to upgrade with Conley than it is Porter.

You mean like a Rubio for Josh Jackson-type deal? I still believe in that guy's talent btw

This **** is so stupid that we dont go after Jabari. This guy is a dominant offensive force who is a no bigger defensive liability than 90% of the league.

Jim Boylen is a **** coach who wont make it in this league. Him bench Jabari means nothing. Just means he is a jackass. There is no way Jabari is the worst player on that team. In fact he is is the best player probably. This might be the dumbest situation I have ever seen in the league.

I’m actually liking what I’m seeing and I’d like to take a swing on Jabari but like to do it on the buyout market so we could keep him cheap next year if he plays well.

Last couple years he’s had Kidd... now Boylen. He might be ready to put stuff together in a competent organization.

We aren't trading for Jabari and his contract. If he gets bought out, then maybe he will consider the Jazz.

I think Conley is overrated. He definitely is overpaid. Making a trade for him would be a bad move imo.

I would love to get Jrue though. Otherwise, we really should just put Donovan at the 1 and make a different move like Niko or Jabari.

All of a sudden I’m warming up to the idea of trading for Conley.

So how do the Jazz fill the other 2 roster spots? That’s awfully jazz heavy.

It’s Favors, Rubio, Crowder, Sefolosha and a 1st for Mirotic and Conley. Our depth takes a hit as well.
