It’s not the plan right now, though. I think we’ve continually overestimated the availability of talent at every step along the horizon, and we’re eventually going to reach a wall this summer, and that’s where we’ll realize the only guy out there is Love, and we’ll pull the trigger. We’ll see the other guys go, we’ll maybe make a pass at overpaying some guy that had a decent showing post ASB, Dennis will pass on Mirotic for the third time, and we’ll bring in Love and talk about immediate chemistry with Ricky. It will be perfect, too, because he’s under contract for a while, and is immovable, so it will take some of the pressure off of having to do something afterward.

This sounds silly, but if last summer I told anyone we’d get fixated on cashing in all that saved up “flexibility” for Mike Conley and his contract, a lot of people would have told me to knock the **** off with the hyperbolic pessimism. But in the moment, we became ok with Conley, just as we’ll become this summer when we not only trade for Love, but surrender a first and second round pick to do so.

But you could still trade Conley.

Oh joy, the Jazz could get Reggie Jackson and a first round pick from Detroit.

Conley in Quins system and playing next to Rudy could look incredible. Who knows what you could get in the offseason or next Feb.

If we are in a desperate situation with Rozier being the only viabl option left in the summer, it's worth a shot picking up Reggie cuz those two are essentially the same player except one is getting overpaid and the other is about to get overpaid.

Haha. Jabari is so nasty. He is pissed.

Throwing down vicious dunks right on the Bulls.

That was a fun game to watch.

Jabari with 6 vicious dunk on the bulls. Posterized a few people.

    Finished with 20/5/6/1/2

Looks to be the starter now. Started the 2nd half. Made the Bulls look dumb. Trash talked Jim Boylen after a couple dunks. Pretty funny.

    Most importantly got the W.

So what happened? I though the Bulls were getting rid of their trash and brought in the great Otto Porter? The Wiz thoroughly dominated the Bulls. Put 134 on them. I thought when you put the 3 and D man Porter in there instead of Parker the Bulls would now be better?

Looks pretty good in that. Unfortunately, we tend to only want to buy high, or try to buy when they’re not for sale.

    Whatevs.

Parker has played great the last two games, but he's played two of the worst teams in the NBA. Cleveland having the worst defense in the history of the NBA.

Can we just go and grab more forwards and wings who can shoot instead of wondering which overpaid PG the Jazz should get instead?

Yeah, it's totally wild the Jazz didnt want to get the guy who publicly admitted to not caring about defense and has had two ACL surgeries.

Yeah, let’s revisit when we’re interested in him and can’t get him.

I just wanted to point out how right I was here. (Other than not knowing there were two more games left before break).

Fish best you by predicting a day earlier.

Of course, his prediction would then mean we lose to GSW, so if we win we can all pile on him for being wrong.

After the dust has settled, I'm really glad we didn't trade for Conley.

It would have been a good move that sacrificed other growth when we really needed a great move that didn't suffocate other growth opportunities.
