We came close to the Nuggs last night.
Give me Wood all day...Give me your solution if it’s one guy and give it to me if it’s two.
I trust you. Sort of.
Give me Wood all day...
Seriously, he's the perfect 4/5... athletic long... allows you to shift up or down in size. Hitting the three, getting to the foul line, not a full defensive anchor, but does really good things. He's a pick and roll monster... like one of the best in the league.
Bradley is not good at defense... I think Wood is solid with potential to do more. He has tools. But yes he is better than bad.Better defensively than Bradley?
If not him (he doesn’t seem like a “Jazz DNA” guy), who else?
Wait, so we figured it out but got smoked anyway? Was it because we didn't have good enough players? Cuz we will be at a significant talent disadvantage to both LA teams and Denver... maybe even Houston again.
I do not think we are contenders... would love to give the front office truth serum and see if they believe it. We have like 5 development projects at the end of the roster that Quin won't use... two guys in the rotation that likely aren't rotation players for any other west playoff team. We need help.
I’m not picking up on sarcasm today... just kinda pissy. I don’t think we are incompetent but over the years there are some puzzling mindsets that I think are not winning mindsets. It was sarcasm. I meant that we changed our defense to stop Harden and it started to work better after first two games. We were more competitive from game 3 but still not able to really compete against them. Quin is good and he will definitely react to the opposition in the series but I doubt it will be enough to overcome the talent on other teams.
Niang's defense is an issue. We have two seasons of data on this now... it can't be pinned on just Jeff Green. We are 9 pts per 100 possessions worse on defense with him on the court... this year and last... we are 5 pts worse on offense this year... last year we were only slightly worse.
I've seen enough... Brantley doesn't even have to make his threes, just play defense, rebound, and bring energy.
He has a very solid body and plenty of energy, which is something we could use. Guys are bouncing of him when he plays through contact. I guess the problem for now is learning his role on defense.
We've gotten to the Ivan Rabb section of the thread... I should probably tap out for a while. One guy the Jazz could take a look at at this stage would be Ivan Rabb, imo.
