Was thinking about this today and not sure where to post it so thought maybe here.

The general idea of forgiving student loan debt isn’t a bad one but what about the people who paid their debt off? Are we giving them refund checks?

Thinkin about this a little hard mang. But let's open it up and say yes. How do you scale education costs, exactly?

I'm sure there were a bunch of people that were angry about not getting Social Security for the entire time they would have been eligible if the law had passed sooner. But you can't retroactively enforce all laws and provide all benefits. A good idea has to start somewhere, and it shouldn't be held up because people who don't get the advantage are angry about it. I'm not saying that this is a good idea, because I haven't done the research.

You're the one who objected to my saying unregulated capitalism was bad for the poor and told me to read Pinker. Perhaps you were a little heated, and missed the word "unregulated". It happens.
