Bernie already has moved the conversation forward. I just don’t think he expands the electorate nor do I think he’s electable. Especially in swing states. I agree with the traditional strategists who believe that Sanders makes it much harder for Democrats to retain control of the House and win the senate and White House.

tons of evidence that he’s expanding the Hispanic electorate— either this is naivety from your end, or your electorate expansion doesn’t take into account certain races. Not sure which is worse

There's polls for that buddy. Bernie beats Trump.

In national polls, of which there are several per day, where Independents and Republicans have zero motivation to participate. State polls are more reflective of how the individual states will vote, and even those normally underestimate Trump voters.

Bernie might win the usual New York, Calif, Washington, Oregon, Illinois maybe. Throw in Connecticut and Massachusetts. The Dems could probably run Spongebob and win those states. Bernie won't get much past 200 electoral votes, if he gets that far.

Red scaring, Thriller? Really? If that’s the worst they’ve got, then I’m far from worried. Support from disenchanted Republicans and moderates is great if your goal is to continue the failed neoliberal tradition of the last thirty years. I don’t think it is up to challenges this country faces wrt wealth inequality and climate change. I mean right now these types and the Dem establishment are rallying around Mike Bloomberg ffs. Kind of goes to show how shallow their dislike of Trump really is, and frankly is making me hesitant to even call myself a democrat.

Also Trump isn’t looking forward to facing Bernie.

let me connect the dots real nice for you— a series of failsons and megalomaniacs from the DNC have all decided to run in the centrist lane for the democratic nomination, clearing the path for a bernie victory— because they all have **** for brains and are thoroughly unqualified to be a president in 2020.

I think we should relax a little bit with the polling data when there’s still 5+ Democrats who are in competition to win the nomination (one who hasn’t even appeared on the ballot yet has spent hundreds of millions in advertising).

Traditionally speaking, swing states that we must win have large coalitions of conservatives and historically don't desire great changes to the economy when it’s already doing so well.
