What's new

2020 Presidential election

And what would happen if four candidates (Biden, Bloomberg, Buttigieg and Klobuchar) weren't dividing the more moderate/centrist vote? Their polls combine to over 44%, not including Warren, while Bernie is polling at 32%. If Bernie really picks up a good chunk of that moderate support, then okay, he's the nominee. Obviously, that's the question that will determine the nomination.
That's not how it works. There are polls for 2nd choice dude. This isn't hard

Trump was negotiating at a standoff with China, and agricultural exports were one of the points of negotiation. The farm subsidies were to compensate.

Socialism is nationalizing the energy and transportation industries, along with education and healthcare per Bernie's Green New Deal. That's not going to fly with Democrats, let alone Republicans.
It flies tho. He is literally the most popular senator and is winning the Dem primary and polls ahead of Trump...

It's definitely possible. Trump is awful, but I think he's achieved an almost boogeyman like status where it's hard for people to imagine that it's possible for someone to be worse. But if you take a couple minutes to look into Bloomberg's past actions, in both his personal life wrt sexual assault allegations, and his political life with his authoritarian surveillance state and racist policing, the differences between the two start to be hard to see.
I stumbled across this....

For the first time Democrats show a little backbone against the most Capitalist loving but Socialist for everyone else "The Rat" Bernie Sanders.

Good job.

I do wonder how people like Warren will fair once Trump shows her that he's already done what she promises to do for the working class.

Lol, he wouldn't have anywhere near the cult of personality Trump has but it's not far off
Maybe if he were a republican.
They seem to like morally bankrupt candidates

This whole electability thing is BS anyway. What does it even mean. Someone with vested interests is telling you who is electable and who's not when you can just make up your own mind. People will rally to bernie as he keeps winning delegates as Trump did. His whole campaign is quite trumpian actually, just the (not evil) flip side of the coin.

This browser didn't think electability is a real word so I looked it up to make sure I was spelling it right. That search rendered this result for what it's worth: https://www.google.ca/search?client=opera&q=electability&sourceid=opera&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8

Could you consciously vote for someone just like Trump but let’s say he/she has one less flaw than Trump? I don’t think anyone expects perfection.

Yes Trump is eons worse than any other candidate but you couldn’t possibly get me and I believe many others to get behind someone like Biden or Bloomberg for instance.
That choice doesn't currently exist. I understand what you're saying, but the choices we have, as they stand now, are all FAR better than Trump.

I loved the debate tonight. Loved it. I think Bloomberg is cooked. Nothing would make me happier for this election than if Biden and Bloomberg dropped out.

I could easily vote for any of the other candidates.

Warren was slipping on my board but tonight she reminded me why I liked her in the first place. She ripped Bloomberg's balls off and made him eat them. I loved every second of it.

Buttigieg is a likeable guy who is smart, reasonable and a veteran. I'm a sucker for a veteran Presidential candidate. I'll vote either party for a military vet who carries themselves with that dignity and sense of duty to country.

I'd love it if Klobuchar could surge a little in the polls. I think she's a great choice and someone I think would gain tons of traction in the general.

I'm not really onboard voting for a Democratic Socialist. I'm just not. I'd do it because Trump is the other choice, but I'd easily vote for a moderate Republican who was a decent human being over Sanders any day. I don't think he'd be horrible, I honestly just think he will be the least effective of the bunch, and that includes Biden and Bloomberg. He'll get nothing passed because he's too much of a socialist ideologue. Despite what Trump cuckolds want you to believe, none of the other Democrats are socialists.

I would be very happy with Bernie as my president.

Yeah, I'd take Bernie over Trump every time. I won't be upset if Bernie wins, he's just not one of my top 3, but I would prefer him over Biden or Bloomberg. I'd just be much more happy with Buttigieg, Klobuchar or Warren.

@Gameface has no such PM.
lol, give me a second.

Okay, the PM is from @Nate505 on Apr. 28th 2018. The title of the PM is "Hey, can you not troll Cy" If nate is okay with it I'll post his post, my response and his follow-up response.

The pic I posted, well, not in this thread but in one of them, is the one Nate was asking me stop posting. Since I'm not sure where it is I'll post it here for reference purposes. I made this pic in Apr. 2018.

Evidently this got under Cy's skin.

For all the years I've been here I've had very little direct interaction with Cy, but when it has happened it has been negative.
