Sounds like there’s more smoke on a potential Paschall trade. Gives us a stretch 5 and Donovan would be doing back flips if we landed him. Seems to make all the sense in the world.
stretch 5 ???? lol

B-Ref & NBA.com calculate net rating differently. For NBA.com, If I recall correctly, net rating is basically a +/- rating, showing how the team did when you were on the vs. when you weren't. In order to see the a similar thing in B-ref, you need to look at the +/- per 100 data.Net rating is offensive rating minus defensive rating. For his career his offensive rating is 105 and defensive rating is 107 for -2 net rating. In the playoffs it drops to 102 and 109.
I know he does some okay things. I just don't get why so many people here want him on our team. I see equal amounts of positives/flaws and he is a bad fit.
Woof.
Yeppers. This is why Utah can never put its eggs in the free agency basket. Everyone wants to play in coastal cities if given the choice. Just draft, trade, and re-sign your dudes. This MLE offer honestly sounds like the Jazz.
Well let’s cross our fingers on Gay. I think LAL might try to use their TPMLE on him and if that’s the case then the Jazz are gonna be sifting scraps for free agents.
Maybe not, but I subscribe to the notion that they’re not just gonna spend that money on anybody, and the list of worthy candidates is drying up fast.
All stats aren't accurate. He's comes off poorly in the stats I quoted regardless of the difference between the two. He doesn't come off great in the NBA net rating. Compare him to his teammates he is usually 7 or 8th in the regular season like I said before, but at least positive. In the playoffs he is terrible . This year he was -13.2.B-Ref & NBA.com calculate net rating differently. In B-ref, offensive rating and defensive rating are more tied in to box-score stats, and are not simply a measure of team success with you on the floor. So some people look better according to these measures. Thus, for example Tony Bradley looks mostly great by this metric, but quite a bit less good by the NBA.com metric. I tend not to give much weight to the B-ref. offense /defensive rating in combination.
Smart looks great by the NBA.com net-rating metric:
