I read it that way too, but then I thought more about what he was saying:
In MJ's day, NOBODY was thought to be on his level. Morant is saying if MJ played today, more guys would be seen at his level.
All the guys of MJ's era were good no doubt, but the media and MJ's play put him on a pedestal that he wouldn't have today.

It wasn’t just Mike. Lol. Shaq, Hakeem, Barkley, Malone, Robinson Ewing Kidd Grant before the injuries. And that’s right off the top of my head. Your biggest argument is there weren’t super teams in the 90’s.
