2023 NBA Combine Thread

Cason Wallace has very similar measurements to Marcus Smart and Cam Whitmore has very similar measurements to Jimmy Butler. Going to find a few more size comparisons. It helps me when evaluating them.

Cam Whitmore came in at 235 lbs. He's like Grant Williams, but with a jetpack. Whitmore is about an inch taller than Williams, same weight range.

Whitmore is also a solid inch-plus and 10 lbs bigger than Anthony Edwards.

Another physical comp for Whitmore was going to be Isaac Okoro, but Whitmore came in an inch and 10 lbs bigger than Okoro as well.

I dunno why we’d use Hayward as a reference point because Hayward is a prime example of someone who was a drastically better athlete than his measurements/testing would suggest.

GG Jackson's height, length and bounce measured out like John Collins in 2017.

Jalen Hood-Schifino is as big as Dante Exum, plus an inch longer.

Kobe Bufkin is an inch taller than Jordan Clarkson and has the same wingspan.

Bufkin also did well on vert… had himself a day.

1.75 is pretty uncommon. Maybe a couple of guys wearing high heels, but they are the same height as most guys 6’7.
I always felt that +1.25 for shoes was the best average. But never did any sort of analysis, of course.

There’s undoubtedly going to be guys at 16 that I like better, but I’m not against the idea of drafting Podz. I just don’t think I’d pull the trigger at 16. Too early for me.
not too early for me. of course it depends on who might be there, but i'd absolutely pull the trigger that early on him depending on how it shakes out.
