2023 NBA Draft Megathread

Man the kid looks really good
He looks good. Maybe a good target with the lesser of our first two picks or if he slides I'd love to get him or Miller with the Nets pick.

Also could do a lot of good nicknames... though that means Boler will simply pick the cringiest one and roll with it.

Dunking on someone from 13 feet probably gives you an automatic boost at being in lottery contention especially when it's combined with great play

I wonder if there is a little bit of an inefficiency with the G League or if those guys get a boost because Hardy and Beauchamp have been solid. I'm hoping they get overlooked and we can snag one of those dudes.

You can only take 1 who you got?

Rayan Rupert

Bilal Coulibaly

Sidy Cissoko
I’d go with the wisdom of the mass mock drafts and take Rupert. Based on eye test probably Sidy. No idea how to judge Bilal.

I think those are guys to swing on with the Philly pick though.

All 3 played in the same U18 tourney and Sidy was the best of the 3. He went to the best league of the 3 and is putting up the best numbers.

Rupert starts as a defensive specialist on one of the better Australian teams but he isn't nearly as skilled as Sidy.

Idk what to think of Bilal.

I don't .he is way to similar to Sexton imo unless Danny is planning on moving Sexton. There is really only one way he is a Jazz man imo and that is if he slides like Keldon Johnson did and we take him at 26.
I can think of at least 5 better options for this current core to fit better and potentially play rotation minutes early on.
You know that Wallace is known for his defense, right? And Sexton…is not. Lol.

I really liked mudiay stint with the jazz. He was much better than i thought he would be. Kinda miss him

I think part of it might depend on who would wait a year to come over. Say Bilal or Rupert are there at #27 and are fine with being stashed for a year... go ahead and take one so you can focus on the other 2 rookies and young players we already have while they fill out and develop.

The more I've watched this draft the more I am okay with just staying at 13/14 or whatever and taking the BPA. If one of the pgs falls in Wallace or Black great take em and take Hendo with the other pick... if its Hendo and the shooters that are available... take Hendo and either Jett/Dick/Hawkins. Only move up if the price is solid and there is a guy you love.

At 27 take an upside swing... Sidy/Bilal/Miller/Clowney or Lively (yeah I'd take him with Walker... he's another shot blocker and a different roll guy... he ain't Tony Bradley or Udoka). I think there are a couple upperclassmen that could slide that are great prospects in Jones/Smith/Murray. I think we are setup pretty well even if the tank wouldn't start.

Cason Wallace and Sexton are completely different players.
Oh ok hot turds in a bucket it is smh
they are very similar as it pertains to playmaking ability speed size and scoring. Wallace is a better playmaker and defender than Sexton"was" as a nba prospect, but he is not better at either imo than Sexton "is".
Granted Wallace is younger unproven so there is so much obviously suggesting they are completely different as you suggest smh
