2023 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread

Just turned on the game and this is some ugly basketball on both sides (Knicks/Cavs 2nd quarter)

I thought the cavs would be a little more scary. I still think they win this series but I don't think they touch a healthy Milwaukee.

Good hell.

I feel so bad for minny. Has Gobert lost a step or two? Denver is getting to the rim with ease even with Gobert there. His contests aren’t very good or he’s always late. Has he lost his ability to jump? I agree with Anderson, “block some shots.”

Looking at it again, it did connect. Maybe not full on in the nut pan but his foot made contact and, even though Claxton played it up a bit, was part of why he fell after the kick. I get it was a glancing blow but the intent was still there and there was contact made. This is like an attempted murder vs murder, the bullet still hit just didn't do the same amount of damage. I think he still should have been tossed. NBA and their shitficiating all over again. Terrible and inconsistent, and inconsistently terrible. But since the league owns all of it, well they can't have Embiid suspended for a game, would be bad for revenue, so his is overlooked. Such ********.
Why should it have to connect for his *** to be tossed? He tried to kick him in the nuts. If it barely missed why should it matter? True, claxton stood over him. Whatever, that happens 5+ times a game, basically whenever anyone scores in the paint. He retaliated by trying to kick him in the balls. They should’ve given Claxton a tech (which I think they did) and tossed Embiid (which the refs were scared to do). Hopefully next year Kessler kicks a punk like Booker or Durant in the balls. I bet the NBA would just give him a flag 1, right?

I don’t think a suspension would be necessary unless it’s a repeat offender. But attempting to kick or punch someone in the nuts should be a no brainer ejection
