The Lakers might want Collins if his play keeps up. JJ seems to have convinced Davis to be a 5. Collins is much better than Rui this season.

Lakers are one of the most realistic landing spots for Collins, Kessler, and Sexton. I’m really hoping they collapse and start to panic.
Also, I wouldn't necessarily just wholesale Collinsfir nothing/cap space (essentially nothing when you're the Jazz). He might be a long-term piece. He seems to have figured out what Hardy wants out of him in the system and has shown much more playmaking ability than I have ever seen out of him.

If we actually stick the landing this year and get a potential franchise player in the draft, I think it’s gonna be hard to duck the protections when they’re that low. The Jazz couldn’t get that low the previous two seasons.

I think you may be right, assuming that guy is legit NBA caliber player on day 1. Some guys that end up really good arent necessarily that as rookies though.
Sure, but we also have a stable of young players that will be better and two other rookies that might pop. They would have to get even grimier than they’ve ever been. I see the Jazz as a play-in team next year easily if they don’t tank at a coaching level.
