The Pistons just did a strange thing by waiving Paul Reed and then signing a GLeague dude because they were below the minimum salary floor. It seems they should have kept Reed as his deal in non guaranteed.

Murray being available is kind of funny to me. Not sure what NO does but an almost full reset seems to be on the horizon.

I dont think so. He's got 3 more years left on his deal at 30+ million.

Murray and Zion if they went on sale would be tough for DA.

If it was Murray for Collins I think DA does that in a second. I think the most likely to move would be BI, CJ, Zion, Murray in that order. I doubt there would be any discount on Murray.

This dumps a lot of salary for the Pelicans, gives them flexibility, and probably requires a pick swap or some sort of draft compensation. But it also gets them Pelicans under the 1st Apron so they can move their best pieces. There aren't a lot of teams that can absorb a salary like Murrays. He is a player I have liked for a long time.

BUUUUUT... I don't want to jeopardize the tank.
