Their picks suck *** anyway.

The big brain tank move would be trade Kessler for the pile of stuff, then trade Sexton to DET making it way more likely that the pick conveys nicely.

Oh well, it’s going to be a low-mid tank season. I think we all kinda knew it was going to be some version of tank+Lauri. I think a lot of people were saying we can tank by keeping Lauri and trading others….reality is that we’re not trading Sexton/Kessler so this is the plan. We’ll see how long it takes for us to pull the plug or how many lotto balls Lauri and co will take away.

It’s up to Lisan Al Ghaib now

We could still move Kessler if we wanted. Collin gets a little tougher because of salary. I don't think we will before the season starts.

I think we could pivot quickly if either plays well, I'm guessing they will both get their chance after strangely being deprioritized last season. Kessler can always be moved, not sure we're going to actually get two real firsts for him. He is the anti-tank commander IMO because he elevates our defense so much.

Sexton...there's a chance he's Fox level and I think there will be handful of teams who want him at $18M this year and next. I really believe that if DET or CHO have a little run at the beginning of the year Sexton would be a great target for them. LAL is also always looming, but they will never act rationally around LeBron.

Are we really to believe that ****ing Precious Achiuwa - an already-journeyman small-ball center that’s been a negative on/off player - is their answer as a starting center on a contender?

If they’re done looking, they’re done contending. This would render all of their big moves basically pointless.

In other words, I don’t know why this means they should be out of the running. Achiuwa is a fine depth piece, but no serious team should be starting him.
