2026 NBA Trade Discussion Thread

All of our own picks, two additional in 2027, and two in 2029/2031. That’s a **** ton.
The trade proposed said we give a pick to the bucks so not all our picks.
#1 pick in 2026, Ace Bailey, Kessler and a future first.

It's an easy no. Don't even have to think twice about it. You don't trade the number 1 pick in this specific draft for a 32yr old Giannis. Throwing in Ace and the usable cap space difference makes it really rough for me.
And another first and kessler.

I think at this point I feel it's too late to give up lots for Giannis. He's still great, but he's getting older, and you'll be one serious injury away from a complete disaster of both a trade and a contract. I'd rather roll the dice.
Hes going to be a top 10 guy for another 4 years minimum

This team is so bad defensively it's too much to ask Giannis at age 32 to mask all the deficiencies especially if Kessler is going out in the deal. Now if Hendricks and/or Cody had panned out as legit 3 & D wings then going all in for Giannis would've made more sense.

I just think we’re giving up too much. You’re trading the #1 overall pick plus Ace plus Kessler plus a first. I don’t think it’s crazy to ask if the #1 pick is more valuable than Giannis on its own.
That is crazy to say lmao. It's Giannis. He's one of the best players of all time and still as dominant as he has ever been.

And 32 without the benefit of falling back on shooting and who does everything being an insanely physical giant.

It would be a miracle if he’s a top-10 player in three years. Could happen. Hard to bet on that.

You don't give all that up for Giannis unless he extends... even then I would say nah. But also... he ain't extending here.

You're always one serious injury away from a complete disaster in the NBA. Sometimes you just have to go for it and stop worrying. Can't control the uncontrollable.

Do we want to win or not?
