Shots inside the three point line count for 2 points. But also points at the free throw line count for 1 point. That adds together to be 3. I could see why it could be confusing.

Nah, he gets this wrong well within the 3 pt line with regularity. This one at 14 feet wasn't even the only one this game. In another Dort was 2 feet inside the line and he said "for 3" where even a cursory glance would tell you it wasn't close. This isn't about guessing if a toe was on the line. This is times when people are a full step or more inside the line.

I haven't heard him explain an advanced stat in a while... him explaining TS% or EFG% was pretty comical. I also don't listen to a ton of games because I've started watching while on my rower so its kinda loud. Let's keep this going so I don't miss any really good ones.
 
Jokes gonna be on us when it comes out that Boler has overcome the disability of total blindness to become an NBA play-by-play announcer, basing all of his calls on echo-location and pure gut instinct.

It's pretty funny to say someone is getting old and also saying you yell at the tv, which is a classic old person thing to do.

But, yeah... He's terrible at his job. We really can't find a competent person for this?

I been yelling at the TV since I was a baby... its a sports thing... not an age thing imo
