Aaron Gordon is entering the draft!

I posted this in the tank thread too but how wonderful would it be if the Jazz got two lotto picks/ Even better they got two top 5 picks with some lotto luck. Now I am totally going to blow your mind..imagine the top 2 picks. What would your picks be?

If I had the top two picks I would probably go with Wiggins and Embiid, even though I really think Parker is going to be something special too.

Might as well trade 2 of the core4 along with multiple 1sts and grab the 3rd spot as well.

Burke
Hayward
Wiggins
Parker
Embiid

Bench: Kanter, Gobert, Evans, Clark, Neto, GS pick
Lost in trade: Favors, Burks

Our bench would need some help and I'd be sad about losing Favors and Burks, but that would be a awesome lineup.

My biggest problem with drafting Gordon will be the people who will claim he was only drafted because he is white.

If we get Gordon at the 3 two things have to happen, (and they both rhyme with shooting.)Our bigs need to develop a better outside game to open things up for a cutting Gordon, and our guards better figure out how to hit the 3, since they won't be able to rely on our small forward chipping in regularly.

Rooting and tooting? Looting and booting? Hooting and scooting? srs lots of words rhyme with shooting bro. You kinda hurt my brain, jerk.

Isn't he half black?

We better be very good defensively then, because we will still struggle to score.

If we have A. Gordon, it will be enogu runners to demand an increase in pace. Plus better defense = more posessions w/ quick outlet passes, which means shine time for Gordon, Burks, Evans, A. Gordon, and any big that runs with them.

This slow pace HAS got to stop next year. We have athletic wings who thrive in the open court. For them to see the open court, they need to not play the half court game. If we have players who can play regular and transition D. (A. Gordon), we will get out on the break a lot, and our wings will score at ease.

I doubt Hayward struggles next year in a faster pace.
Plus. I think everyone of the C4 will be improved. Not ready to put Burke in as part of that core. Wasn't happy with that pick and still not. Shoots way too much fore a 6ft unathletic pg that shoots anytime he gets a slight opening, just maddening to me, even when he's got a lane to the hoop, he still chooses to pull up instead of drawing the defense to him and dumping it of for an easy bucket for Favors or Kanter, and his pick'n roll passing needs to be higher so the bigs can catch th pass easier instead of them constantly needing to catch the pass at or below the knees.
It would be nice to know where the Jazz are drafting to end some of the speculation. I have been saying all year that GS isn't a given to make the playoffs and they still aren't even though their schedule is easy down the stretch. Memphis blew a huge chance to move into a tie. I would LOVE it if the Jazz were able to get two lottery picks this year. Dallas has to beat GS when they play.

The problem with have Gordon is he can't shoot. The Jazz are already an average shooting team. I would love it if the Jazz got Wiggins. Yea I know who wouldn't but he is my guy now. Parker can improve his body. Most guys do if they are motivated to be good. All I've heard about Parker is that he has a great attitude.
I've always been a Wiggins over Parker guy, good to see more coming over to my way of thinking. I'm now the majority, when as before I was in the minority

aren't you half rodent??

My top 8 board is:

Wiggins
Parker
Embid
Smart
Randle
Gordon
Exum
Vonlah

That being said out of the list I'd only really be disappointed with Vonlah (and actually might prefer Anderson at that point), only because he seems like a project and that's the last thing this team needs. Then again what the hell do I know. I wanted the Jazz to draft Xavier Henry over both Hayward and Paul George.

My per Jazz need big board is:

1. Wiggins
2. A. Gordon (kid is still 18 until mid september)
3. Parker
4. Exum
5. Smart
6. Embiid
7. Vonleh
8. Randle

Also, don't forget LeBron can opt out. If we're getting the top3 picks, he'll want to play for a championship. Hayward can move to PG or come off the bench.

So why all the sudden Gordon love? Is he blowing up in college?

I applaud your honesty and courage for admitting the Henry love. I've come forward a couple of times and confessed he was my choice at #9. I actually like Vonleh but confess I haven't watched that much of him. I generally only catch bits and pieces of college games until the tournament.
