What's new

Are there any Kanter apologists left? What are they saying?

I still think that Kanter will be a borderline all-star somewhere in this league, kind of like a rebirth of Al Jefferson. It's obvious that it has been addition by subtraction though. I still like Kanter and wish him nothing but luck, but choosing between Kanter and Gobert was a no brainer.
I agree.

Trading away Kanter, sorta reminds me of when the Jazz were okay letting Adrian Dantley go (traded to Detroit) because they knew they had something special/better in Karl Malone. Kanter can become a borderline all-star in this league, but Rudy has the potential to be an all-time great...

Remember when the opposing team's sole agenda on offense was to make Kanter defend in space? Opposing coaches struggling to find a new gameplan now

Absolutely. P

re-game highlights were full of Gasol abusing Kanter's defense. I don't miss it one bit.

I don't think anyone thought Gobert would make this kind of leap this year. Kanter would have left in any case this summer unless Jazz paid him. Better to get a 2nd round picks then nothing.

I did I knew Monica Rudy just needed playing time to shows these bitch azz nookaz who the boss was. I was preaching "play Rudy" last year.

For most folks (including me) it wasn't about keeping Kanter, it was about letting him go for next to nothing. Jazz definitely got fleeced in the deal; but it's time to move on.

I agree, I was all for trading Kanter but thought the Jazz should have gotten more in return. I also feel they should have gotten a better deal on their 2nd round draft pick last year too in a deep draft when they traded the 35th overall pick for most likely a later pick in 2016 in a draft that most likely won't be as deep. I also think they should have got more in the Golden State deal for taking all their trash for 24 million. So far we got a 23rd pick in the 2014 draft from them so I guess it all hinges on what draft pick we get from them in 2017. I thought they should have at very least got Harrison Barnes in the deal to go with what they got. The reason Golden State is so good today is because of the Jazz. When you help someone out like that it devalues the draft pick but luckily they might get worse come the 2016-2017 season. On the other hand I think Lindesy has done well in the draft and made an excellent move to get Gobert. I personally think Exum was a good choice when the Jazz drafted him and I think he will be a good player after he gets more experience and bulks up a little.

I've noticed a decrease in posts coming from Turkish posters. Some have probably gone to root for OKC. Sad. I'm Spanish but I'll smile every time Gobert sends Gasol crying back to the locker room, and will never root for the Grizzlies or say the Bulls just because they have a good Spanish player. Just my 2 cents on this issue.
