It is pretty normal for young players not to get enough playing time or touches in national teams unless they are head and shoulders better then veterans. Kanter is obviously not better then Asik and most likely Erden as well so to count on him scoring in double figures is unrealistic. But I agree that 3.2pts and 2.7 reb average is concerning for nr. 3 draft pick. For example Lithuanian front line is crowded as well but Jonas Valanciunas is finding ways to be more productive - today vs Russia he posted 13pts, 16reb, yesterday vs Spain 11pts, 5reb. Of course it is just friendlies and how their game will translate into NBA might be a different story but at least now it looks like JV has upper hand.
hi calg,you just dont stop,anyway Kanter playing is agood thing,even on this ballhog 3 point chucking freeze out they are pulling on the kid.this might not make him better but it will make him tougher because its got to be a shot to his ego,but if he is a stud and not a dud this will just fuel him in the long run.
