Best Player Lineups for the Jazz

1-5 FGs, 1-4 from three. THT is like death and taxes. woulda been the GOAT tank commander if the jazz were tanking.

but hey, the dude has 15 assists. this entire season. lol. so, so bad.

Yeah our bench is not entirely bought in on the sharing game. Markkanen is the lowest from our starters with 2.7 APG, but our top 3 bench guards in playing time:
Sexton 1.9 assists in 22.2 minutes
THT 1.4 assists in 16.2 minutes
Beasley 1.0 assists in 24.9 minutes

I somehow get the Beasley number, as he is primarily a sniper and plays for others dont really run through him, but Sexton and THT should even accidentally have more passes than that.

For comparison, Vando in 25.4 minutes averages 3.1 assists.

Yeah the bench needs to step up in this area. There are definite ball-stoppers on the bench, THT being foremost among them. Markkanen is doing what he is expected to do and if his assists hover near 3 for the season that is just fine, because he is meant to be the finisher, not the play-maker. Although he does make some nice and timely passes, especially out of a double-team, which ends up in some wide open shots.

Collin Sexton last 5 games:

18.4 PPG, 2.8 RPG, 2.4 APG, 1 SPG, 49.2% from the field and 46% from 3 in 28.6 MPG.

Day-um. And he has yet to really hit his stride. We might have just made out like bandits on all these trades. A lot of these guys are right in that I do not think there have been very many trades in the history of the NBA that were so beneficial to both teams as the Jazz-Cavs trade this year. Will go down in history. Would be crazy beyond belief if these are the 2 teams that meet in the finals.

Not everyone has the same path and progression isnt linear. The talent is clear and his defensive skills are high.
I agree with the first part and could not disagree more with the second part.
His length is his only real advantage as a switch defender in the backcourt, which is a need on any roster. But he plays like an undersized pf

And last night against he Clippers he got lost more often than not. His D was not up to the task last night, and he is a black hole on offense. Dude is just not cutting it. If we can get value for him, we should drop him like a hot potato.

I'm not happy to be saying this, but... THT and NAW are really bad basketball players.

NAW handling the ball in the 4th quarter is sending my blood pressure through the roof.

Walker imo at least could have some 3rd pg potential. He is not asserting himself enough to know if he has capped out, but athletic wise I think he is. Horton hears a boo has continued to chuck and dunk, swat and grab since the day he was drafted. He reminds me of every other person I have ever hooped with that should have been a wrestler.

You should pay attention to his help defense as well

Every team has a few players that need to improve their game. I think THT and NAW have some untapped potential. If Hardy can help them and if the team can still win then let them develop. But on the otherhand, if other options are out there that dramatically improve those spots then you have to take it if the price is right.

Nobody is developing them though. They are trying to win. If they were trying to develop anyone it should be Ochai Agbaji.
THT is just getting bare minimum pt, probably based on his contract, in the hopes he makes a couple good plays. I dont think anyone should have much expectations for him but are not going to give him a complete doughnut stat line incase they can sell his upside to somebody else that is ignoring filler facts

THT is the youngest player or close to it, on the team. Being 21/22 probably buys him a year or two.

It's crazy how he can't shoot a lick but has now hit on a few step back 3's. Maybe that's the secret sauce.

He has a player option next summer so that's what is going to buy him another year..
