That closing Conley/Sexton 2 man lineup is dynamic because Mike is obviously our game manager and Sexton can just play free and loose next to him getting to the line, etc.

This is not a knock on Don...He is obviously a very special player as he's proving in Cleveland but last year he didn't let Mike run the team. Quin had the ball in Don's hands to create all the offense. Not that I blame Snyder. If you have a star that's typically who needs to have the ball in crunch time.

Beasley has fallen off a cliff after a promising start. It's genuinely hard to watch those lineups where he's playing together with THT.

THT is the youngest player or close to it, on the team. Being 21/22 probably buys him a year or two.
interesting observation. I don't really care if he is 18 he has been in the league long enough to show signs of improvement and he has not. Look at Collin Sexton and how every season he has improved something about his game in a significant way. I know not many do that either, but at least show us you care more about winning than just making your guy miss or putting him on a poster. These guys are all good in some respect or they would not be in the league. Most of them including THT however are in need of massive overhauls to become more than end of rotation liabilities.

Pretty safe to say the Clarkson/Beasley/THT/Gay/Kessler lineup was huge for us in the game. That lineup was +93.8 in net rating and was the second highest lineup in total minutes played.

I’m super glad to see THT and Beasley turn around some of their horrendous numbers. They have both been playing great as of late.

This makes the most sense of the stats I've seen in here. The guards don't fit, but these two definitely fit the top net eaters for our team. They both look like they don't skip meals often and definitely eat what they want.

Man clarkson is everywhere on those lists. Im shocked that neither conley or lauri appear at all on any of them.

Clarkson stayed on with Murray when our bench had those big runs against theirs. Thats also why Murray is -7 while all other Hawks starters are on +.

To further clarify my previous post: Hawks always put either Trae or Murray to play with the bench in close games (learned this from Hawks boards). I think Hardy had scouted that and wanted Murray to focus on defense over scoring during those minutes, and left JC on.

Agreed, and nice analysis! Really great to see Beasley and THT coming along and becoming strong positives. We are almost a team with no or few weaknesses and no fatal flaws. Crazy that it is just a cobbled together ragtag group of rebels that barely started playing together 2 months ago.
