Best small towns in Utah to explore?

Marysvale. The town itself is really small, but there's a lot of good hiking/ATV trails and some good fishing. Just spent the weekend down there and it was great for re-energizing the battery.

Fish Lake is indeed awesome.

Marysvale is one of the best weekend getaways in Utah with tons to do. We liked staying at the Rose Ranch Resort before selling the ATVs, and rafting down the Sevier isn't bad in the spring.

Huh. I didn't know it's in the NF nor would have guessed. It's nothing like the actual lake area.

Salem Dream Mine area was awesome. Best done if you pretend you don't know English and ignore all the warning signs. Some cool trails up there too. Good caving spot. And it felt like one those spots where somebody from the government is going to drive up and harass you at any moment - that's always cool.
I've tried to set out somewhere different at least once a week, but the destination never seems to end up being the main attraction. I think just seeing the lay of the land of Utah from a few different perspectives has been cool because I stick pretty close to that whole SLC-Provo corridor most of the time - at least as far as being in Utah is concerned.

If you like that stuff then keep heading past Eureka and on to Delta. There's a huge, badass looking old mill that's built into the side of the mountain. Maybe it's on HWY 132 before 6, I don't recall exactly. Either way, you can't miss it if you head out of Delta during the day.

Cool. I'll check it out. I need to go in that area one more time before it gets cold anyway. There was something else along that road too that looked kind of interesting jammed into the side of a hill so probably something mining related. It was all graffitied up, I think around Genola, couldn't quite tell what it was.
