What's new

Best stuff on Netflix

Bill Burr is the funniest thing out there. I think he has a new tv show coming out. He does swear a lot, but you will laugh the whole time.

1- Bill Burr
2-99: no one
100 - Louis CK
The rest.

You will cry the whole time. Absolutely hilarious stuff

Loved Angels in America. 6 episodes. Al Pacino, Meryl Streep an good acting all around. 82 on RT as well. Still don't know if it is on Netflix.

Watched Secrets and Lies straight through last night--it's only six 45 minute episodes. I liked it a lot. It doesn't feel as strong as shows like The Missing or Broadchurch or The Killing but it's about as equally as intriguing and for me, it has the best finale of all of them. A stellar last episode that revealed the killer and gave compelling closure.

I just started watching The Sapranos. About three episodes in so far. I'm liking it

I watched a season of the Sopranos and just couldn't get into it. Not my cup of tea, as it were.

Sort of off topic, but not really. Bob's Burgers has 3 seasons on netflix. I always assumed it was some sort of family guy spinoff so I never watched it. But I caught the end of an episode the other day and it was hilarious. The first 3 seasons do not disappoint either.

The Wire and Mad Men are two others imo.

I need to check those out, always looking for a new series to binge watch.

Speaking of which, watched the entirety of the first season of True Detective when we went to Germany (mostly on the plane, but also because German TV sucks) and I really liked it. It did hit a point where it was just kind of dragging and seemed like they were making it dark just for the sake of being dark, but I liked the way they wrapped it up at the end and I thought it was a very solid performance from both Harrelson and especially McCohnahghey. But I found ugly-*** Woody Harrelson's ability to score the hottest asses on the planet just on a whim more than a bit implausible, but it did make for some nice scenes to watch.

I think Harrelson's a good-looking guy for the most part.

And True Detective was freakin' epic.
