Burks out indefinitely after ankle surgery

Most of the injuries we've had are freaky happenstance that I don't think you can blame on the medical staff. What you can blame on them is the multiple bad recoveries. From what I hear Favors' IT band syndrome is an injury of overuse and over-exercise. This one is harder to pin on the trainers, but is it possible a better staff notices something about his workload and lightens it before he has to miss 3 weeks of camp and several games? I don't know...

Or it's possible other staffs have much less strict protocol and he plays and tears his acl.

It's possible... again I don't dispute that a lot of what I did here is conjecture(some isn't, it's plain fact), yet we are the team with a player who returned while not being ready after surgery. We are the team with a player who is still not ready after 3 surgeries, while he was supposed to be ready after the first. We are the team that hasn't had its full roster healthy for a single game since December 2014.

1. Good thing the Jazz acquired some good players this offseason.
2. The Jazz medical team sucks *** and has for a long time now. They bungled the HELL out of Memo, Boozer, AK, and Korver in 2010 alone.

The best thing to do now is just move on from Burks. The guy is just one injury after another. Another one! lol But then again, he might not go for much nowadays due to all the injuries though.

Can't the Jazz use medical option/something for another player?
Chris Johnson, Elijah Millsap, ?

You have to be down a bunch of players to get an additional player spot. Not an option.

The Jazz could never extract equal value for Burks, he's not going anywhere. He's WAY too cheap considering current market conditions and locked in til 2019. Yet many here are here worried about early returns in 2016?!?!?!?!? ir'a preposterously short sighted, as they said in the telecast, the procedure was done to ensure he comes back bettr than ever, what more do you need to know?!..

I swear we're gonna hear "I'd rather have JR Smith for 4/57MM" next..

I think he'll be back but can he stay healthy with his style of play? He needs to learn to stay on his feet at all costs.

the other shoe hasn't dropped with Jazz saying Burks will be out 2/3 months, that hasn't happened

so if he suits up before the end of this month ....healthy ..then I'll be happy

I don't think the Jazz can give up on him ,this setback should be put on the Jazz medical staffs shoulders

This month? Not a chance. From what I was able to glean from the web on this procedure, we'll be extraordinarily lucky if he returns in 2 months, and I'm guessing 3-4 months is probably more likely.

I don't know why we are so sad over him getting hurt. He's never really done much, he's been hurt for almost half his career (will probably be over half before he gets back) and when he has played, he has hurt us more than helped us.

I'm getting tired of being right so often. Why did DL ever sign someone who obviously was so injury prone and plays with a dangerous tone to such a contract?

Trade this damn thing as soon as he's finally healthy.
