Bye Bye Burke

Harpring doesn't have that issue.

Also, good bye Burke. Never liked you as a player, but you were a pro.

Kind of my sentiment. I do admire Trey for never publicly complaining about his situation. Of course he had his mommy doing that for him. Ronda was a pain in the arse. Wonder how long it will take for her to complain about Trey's role in Washington?

Ncjazz continues to amuse. Jazz showed their hand too early? He's been on the market for 2 1/2 years! I guarantee you had ANY team offered us a future 1st the last 3 years, DL would have been all over it. Trey is simply not that good. He can score, but only on volume. He's a career 38/34% chucker. His ONLY redeeming quality is that he doesn't turn the ball over. Of course, part of that is he holds onto the ball and takes lousy shots instead of passing to open teammates.

Value is kind of what I expected... We have a ton of seconds the next few years this gives us one in a draft we don't already have two... The traded their 2019,2020 second rounders already.

Wish Trey the best. Think he fought through a lot when he could have quit and didn't bitch like Kanter.

Good Luck Trey. You provided some needed excitement and hope when you were drafted. Thanks.

I hesitate to say drafting Trey was a mistake, but it certainly was a missed opportunity. Perhaps it is better to say it was a series of mistakes. Hopefully the jazz and Dennis O'Lindsey can learn from it.

Who knows what the Wiz will be in 5 years lol, could be a higher 2nd.
Hey, now that they have Trey, the sky's the limit.........

Maybe Trey should have bitched and moan like Kanter to get that max.
He still has a season to get that done. Who knows, if the play style works better for him there, he might just start........

Yeah no.

I am impressed that he stayed a good locker room guy with all of this, and I also think that he will play his best ball there. There was just too much damage to stay here IMO, so good luck to him, and here's hoping that we will do better with some experience at the position.

Hesitate to say it was a mistake? It was a huge ****ing mistake. It's one we can't really fault DL for, because we needed a PG and Burke looked promising.

Trey Burke can't play fast, so I don't get how the Wizards play style is really going to help him. He might get some more assist, but he still is a guy who cant play at NBA speed and his go to shot is a pull up off a pick.

I look at it this way: Trey got Corbin fired. It is rare for a GM to distance himself from a pick, but DL immediately said Trey was the player Ty wanted. Clearly, Burke was not a unanimous choice. So when Burke continued to disappoint, I think DL had one of those "I told you so" instances to bring up to the internal Burke supporters. Had Trey had a great rookie season, maybe the Millers remain loyal to Corbin as a coach and talent evaluator.

So in a way, Trey Brick may have saved the franchise with his ineptitude.

I thought Burke showed a few things in the first half of last year, but fell off. I still think he could eventually make something of his career. It was time to move on.
