My personal view, Kanter should "get rid of" the people around him, in order to achieve any real progress in his NBA career. Whoever they are that influence him in following any other area than basketball (Turkish domestic politics included.)
If he can't do that quite soon he will most likely end up being another Kosta Koufos... Kanter could have been a player earning $10+m a year.

plus thats a good call about kanter, i agree people around him and the society he is included in ( politically very contrary to current turkish government) hurts him a lot. he didnt even come to national team because of that reasons.

i just dont think enes is a bad player, he is indeed very good. he just get clumsy sometimes, and i am sure he will make a good come back, just the thing is he is still very below my expectations, and i doubt he will every become franchise player as i thought. i think that would have been much bettr for him to come to nba when he is mentally settled. he came as a kid and he got carried away with flashy atmosphere starting from year he passed with kentucky. Anyway this year we will see how far he can go, if his contract year not gonna be his breakout year, then which year will?

He has to play with more passion and HIRE a new agent.
Kanter has at least one NBA-level skill and that is rebounding. That said he is trying to build up himself as a totally different player, player with finesse/range.
He cannot survive NBA that way. Sure he can shoot and score but he is a bully and he has to play like one.
More rebounds + more hustle = Kanter's bright future.

I agree. Fresh start will help his mental pressure a lot. Jazz fans are right to judge him, to be impatient, but I think Enes himself has this as a pressure to lose focus to succeed, searching for new aspects to his game in the wrongest season possible; contract year.
