What's new

calling it now: Kanter will be traded, and Burke will be in the deal

No way that will happen! Kanter is a defensive burden and an undersized PG doesn't make this deal better in fact it makes it worse!!Trey Burke is maybe the PG - Version of Enes? A little bit undersized and not athletic enough.

No GM would do this trade in a straight way maybe in a three team-deal...

I think burks has some value. Kanter probably can get a mid to late round first. That would be fine. Okc might do it. Maybe a better team that could plug him into a role where he could be big al life for 15 minutes a game.

^ I legitimately had a dream last night that we traded Kanter and Burke for Reggie Jackson holy shiza.

I do think people are giving up on Burke too soon, and I still have hope for Enes. However, I think Kanter's days as a Jazzman are numbered :(

You lost me when you said Burke. Kanter might be traded, but I really don't want him to. We won't get any value for him now. Might as well keep him for as long as possible, and see if he makes a leap.

Unfortunately, there is too much common sense in your post.

I think Kanter is proving that he is a bench player. I don't think anyone is going to offer him a starters salary. So the 2 big questions are: Can Gobert and Favors play together? Will Gobert develop a better offensive game?

I would answer No to the first and yes to the second.

After all this TV contract **** works itself out Favors may have the best contract in the league.(from an owners perspective) Favors could buy something real nice, Kanter ain't buyin ****. So maybe we keep Kanter as a back up center and trade Favors in a year if Rudy blossoms.

Interesting, but why would a franchise like the Jazz as they are being rooted by a fanbase of high morals want to send a perfectly fine franchise player away when he produces? I think Favors will end his career in Jazz uniform. At least I hope so.

I think Favors is going to play in Utah as long as he wants to. And that is a very good thing for us.

I think it all depends on how much Gobert grows as a player. If it becomes clear that he should be starting at C I think we need to play small ball around him. (that's still a big if) I love Favors but if things work out that way I would rather see him play somewhere that he fits rather than force a round peg into a square hole.

They made him play C since last year, I wonder if he isn't more suited to the PF position now that Gobert seems to be knocking on the door for the starting C plus Favors seems to have improved offensively & shooting it from decent range.

Gobert
Favors
Hayward
Burks
Exum

Nice lineup for the next 3-4 years.
